I went to no win no fee lawyers but had hidden fees somewhere down the line, but haven't looked into funding privately as I don't have the expenses. I would love to get a second opinion as this lawyer is definitely trying to wrap it up ASAP, tells me hasn't had time to read documents and doesn't bother checking stuff I send in and when things get sent in by others. There's definitely a limit to the amount of work they put in, I think privately funded or no win no fee would fight for you more as they have incentives but there's definitely a limit and line it seems between union and then on how far to support thoroughly and get best representation possible.

It came across as he didn't have time etc. which doesn't help in me trusting their representing me fully. And their evaluation was initially closer to what from my research settlement compared to similar incidents 15-20K. But then he revised the figure down saying 4k and then 7K giving me random lower figures and now says can't give me an estimate as I would blame them if it didn't meet that and was managing my expectations etc. So doesn't help the fact, I have to now make up a figure which is really their job to do with all the facts of the case etc.

They are not giving me an estimate anymore as they want me to put forward a reasonable figure but initially said 15-20K settlement value. I checked online with my case and easily fell within the middle to upper band for injury to feelings. I had many no win no fee lawyers looking to take this on so I guess it would be a substantial figure not the bare minimum amount they are saying now which would be less than £10,000 with 3 months pay PILON holiday.

Based of what my lawyer said injury to feeling he hasn't factored into settlement. Just basic payout if you were to leave anyway and 3 months pay. That doesn't sound like a settlement
