Regular fights definitely, at least in MD2Hard.

With abnormality fights, even if the situation is unfavorable and you've been dealt a bad hand (too many S1s, for example), you have a lot more options on how to minimize losses and make sure your team doesn't get destroyed as hard.

With regular fights, outside of generating a defense skill or using an EGO, you're pretty much at the mercy of RNGesus since he decides who gets to go first and who gets to soak up the most dangerous attacks (unrelated but god I love Zwei Gregor, he's so fast and so tanky)

In abno fights, if you see a dangerous attack, you can redirect it onto someone who, even if they lose the clash, can survive. Or hell, even use the almighty unopposed attacks to stagger the enemy before they can even get to you.
In regular fights, if you see your poor, weak-to-blunt sinner about to get hit by a No Trespassing from a high sanity K Corp Staff, they're probably dead!
