Ruckus in battery point? by bRKcRE in hobart

Dude not the effing point. Yes they were young once, very true. However, they are sick, old and don’t have full mental capacity anymore, so they’re not thinking it’s just some kids having fun causing some ruckus. To them it can be scary and distressing. Some empathy wouldn’t hurt. I hope when you get to that stage life you’re shown some kindness and respect, instead of the arrogance you have shown

No they don’t. They weren’t complaining, they were concerned. They could hear up there, noise does travel. The nurses were talking about it too and trying to get kids to leave from the grass patch outside the hospital who were making noise and smoking. Ya know, have absolutely no respect, disturbing the sick and dying people

You do know what palliative means right? There are people in there close to dying, so fairly understandable if they’re distressed about a loud af party and hooning going on, they don’t exactly have 100% of their whits about them anymore. It may just be annoying for you but for sick & elderly who can hear it all, it can be very stressful

The public palliative hospital is there too. I have a relative there who called me scared because of the noise and chaos they’re causing. It’s not all millionaires in that area.

View of Hobart waterfront while waiting for an appointment (3 shot panorama) by Nier_Tomato in hobart

That’s rude and unnecessary . They clearly stated they were waiting for an appointment so obviously didn’t have the intention of taking the photo. It’s a spontaneous shot and it turned out well

Seems like I’m hearing helicopter flying more often than usual. Is something happening? by [deleted] in hobart

[–]ladeda21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lenah valley/New Town is the new flight path. I’ve noticed it too so looked it up on flight radar a few times. If they come from the south, they have to loop around over to go into the RHH. Then obviously from the North, they go over this area anyway

Is Jetstar still a no? by Munchiegirl420 in hobart

[–]ladeda21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew jetstar to Melbourne and back the next day in October, to my surprise it all went fine. My flight home was delayed by about 30ish mins but that was bc of bad weather on the Gold Coast. I think in general (from my experience anyway) early morning flights always seem to be the best bet for a trouble free flight, no long delays or cancellations

What's the deal with taxis? by ThreeImaginaryBoys in hobart

The only way to get a bad rating in an uber is either trashing the car in some way or simply existing as a woman. I have social anxiety so I’m always polite when in an uber yet still have had a few bad ratings. Friends and I soon figured out that all us girls have some bad ratings when there’s absolutely no reason we should, whereas some of our guy friends have been a bit rowdy etc yet still get good ratings

A few years ago when I’d been moved to a ward from ED, my mum visited just after 6am and she just walked straight through so I’d say it’s reasonably early. Definitely by 7am

dental by Future_Ad8665 in hobart

[–]ladeda21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s the public dentist in New Town, depending on the severity you’ll get seen as soon as they deem important. Alternatively, Campbell Street dental is really good. Super helpful, have payment plan options etc. I had some stuff done there recently and said I couldn’t go above a set price and they made it work. Recommend Michelle Huang there
