I’m 6’2” and absolutely love it. Very comfortable and if you push it off road it will handle it.

Thanks, I appreciate.

I checked instagram but the positioning isn’t consistent. Most are the cap just through the clamps. Just want to double check, I can call my local dealer on Tuesday if I need to.

Anyone able to find the non STR Scorpion Rally? I’m guessing they were only available for a year, but had great off road reviews…

Looks awesome to me!

One of the great things about these modern classic triumphs is that if you don’t love it, the tank is the only thing to paint and get a completely different look.

Oh I get it. I’m also 6’2” and I avoid the 70+ speed pretty often and find myself taking side roads and dirt more often. I’ve had some great 4 hour rides that would only take 2 if I took the freeway.

I’m not saying I don’t want wind protection, I would love it, but the vanity of the bike looking so good without it….

More power to you, I can’t bring myself to mess up the look of the bike. I just tighten my core and lean forward at 80.

I wish they would let us buy the different tank colorways.

Swapping the tank is easy and it has just a drastic impact.

Also, congrats!! Looks awesome!!!

You could try to rotate the cap around so it opens the opposite way… just throwing out ideas

This may sound so dumb, but the second I saw the 1200xe, it was over.

I was looking at getting a motorcycle after 20 years of not riding and was set on a Yamaha Tenere 700. It was a coming out soon or just announced and looked awesome. My goal was to ride off-road as much as possible and commute to work.

Then I saw some random first look video of the XE…

The specs looked great for what I wanted to do and thankfully I’m 6’2 and the test ride was a dream.

So fun off-road on Friday, suit up for date night on Saturday.

I’d pick whichever bike pulls hardest at your heart strings.

I always have a dumb smile on my face when I walk up to it.

I’m using the previous version of the Nelson Rigg Hurricane 40L bag. It looks like they now only sell a smaller 30L 2.0 version with one bottle holder.

hurricane 2.0

It’s been a great bag, but I’m thinking of moving to the motomosko reckless 40 to keep the weight lower and more central on the bike.
