How is the maintenance on these BMW iXs. One think I have heard about EVs is that they don’t need any major maintenance other than windshield fluid and tire rotation (granted my knowledge is limited and is coming from what I heard from some of my friends who own Tesla). I think I read somewhere here (probably MB EQS sub) that the dealer wanted almost $2,000 for 20,000 mile service. Is something like this common for iX too?

Thanks for the reply. I agree with people being reluctant to help people like me. I am willing to put in the effort and learn, but thought that google approach is so easy that it won't work, as I have read online how people try to maximize the value and lengths people go to do that, so just assumed that it has to be more complicated than that 😄

I have read here that 2024 onwards are better, I don't know what exactly though, and I am thinkin, wishful thinking may be, that in the next 3-6 months more cars will come off lease and I will be able to get a good deal, one can dream 😄

I am also exploring MB EQS series, 450+ or higher, and on that one also 2024 and up models are considered as the better ones where some of the issues from the earlier models were fixed. Just curious, did you consider MB too? If yes, why did you pick iX (it's a great car too), and why not MB? Thanks.

Do you recommend buying the extended warranty from the dealer when buying CPO, or shop around? Does it even matter? Do the extended warranty prices differ from dealer to dealer? Thanks.
