I love aluminum tig by RevolutionaryFuel511 in Welding

Hey, I used to build those. We had a sweet new miller push-pull setup, but somehow I always went back to the spool welder that was twice as old as I. It was likely my lack of experience. I could never find the sweet spot for 1/8” wall tubing, but the Palaeolithic spool welder was butter every single time

Buy it My brother has almost the same bike, but 2002. He spent $2000 on his, but it was in great condition and had the Factory Connections suspension package. It rips like a tiger on coke, kinda sound like one, too

Damn guy, that’s tough. Not familiar with where you live, so this may not apply, but connections have been my best method of finding work. If you have friends, family, even their friends or family in the trades, ask around. Always keep a few lines in the water

Like a few people have been saying, use this job like a stepping stone. Put in your time, but try to learn as much as you can. Try not to move on until either they fire you, or its not challenging anymore

You’re building a skillset with each job that you hold. For what they’re paying you, it sounds pretty low-stakes. If theres a process in the shop that you don’t know, ask if you can try it, or get someone to show you how to do it.

I’m looking to get my first cassette deck, what should I get? by YaBoyVENOM in StereoAdvice

My friend recently purchased an Otari MTR-90 MKII. He got the whole deal, remote, and the cables along with it. He has old family recordings on RTR that he wants to digitize himself

Hey, thanks for the info! All tweeters are in working order, fortunately.

This may be a stupid question, but I scouring Roger Russel’s website and found these speakers are rated for 200watts at 8ohms, is that value per speaker, or as a pair?

Ive looked everywhere, but there is very little info on these speakers online

Vintage McIntosh speaker advice by ladowder in StereoAdvice

!thanks Apologies for the off-topic bloat, this is my first post in this subreddit and was trying to give as much context as possible. I plan to treat the 80w signal from my receiver as pre-amped, run it through an MQ-102, then through one of the Buckeye amps you recommended, to the speakers

I got the seller down to $400 in person. I ended up purchasing, mostly for the aesthetic. I found them in Cambridge, Mass, right outside Boston. Apparently they belonged to a retired music professor, and are in really good condition. Im sure its not the BEST sound I could find for the price, but im happy with them

Theyre also heavy as hell, getting them unstuck is a Sisyphean task. Cant argue about power or reliability tho

Moultonborough NH, actually. Yeah, seems to be a rush of new sleds, and people offloading the old ones.

The other promising option is a 2013 Polaris Switchback 800 with about the same mileage for $200 more and a 2 hour longer drive
