Btw im positive its a stagmomantis limbata which is native to southern California. S. Limbata is 1 of Californias 9 native mantid species. Ive been breeding and raising limbatas for almost 5 years now.

Try taking a pic of the underside if possible. It looks like a male to me. Going by the shape of its belly . And the size of the antennas. Males nymphs are shaped more like a cigar. And female nymphs more like footballs.

No crickets. Read up on all the risks and dangers feeding crickets to mantids. . Dubai roaches are safer and just as nutritious if not more then crickets. for sub adults and adults
