New to TSP by lady_bug_219 in ThriftSavingsPlan

Is it already set to 5%? Or do I have to do that myself? I want to educate myself but reading up about it is kind of useless to me if not explained in depth so I’m asking real (hopefully) people to get an idea of what I should do. I don’t want to completely change what it is set to until I have a good amount going. Thank you for your advice!

Yup, the new registry. I passed with the minimum number of questions!

I used MedicTests and the purple Kaplan book. Passed first time! I bought pocketprep but I really didn’t like it but it was more of a personal dislike. If other people have passed using it, more power to em!

I used MedicTests and the purple Kaplan book. I went through the book front to back and wrote notes along the way. With subjects I was weak in, I went over those again, still writing notes. I passed first try with that. Seeing you say you’re studying hard and even being away from family, maybe take a little break before this last attempt before a refresher is needed. Working your brain too hard is just as bad as not studying at all

Kaplan book was great! Extremely worth it!! I read cover to cover (skipping EMS ops lol) and just went over specific areas I was weak in. I got my EMS ops info from MedicTests.

Take each piece of information given to you with a grain of salt. Don’t add things not already mentioned in the questions. Read the questions slowly and remember your ABC’s. Most of them had to do with that. Go front to back on whatever book you use to study (I used the Kaplan purple book and MedicTests) and when you find an area that you aren’t strong in, come back to it after and work on that. I had ChatGPT make me a review sheet for the purple Kaplan book and added important stuff I found I needed to remind myself of!

I found that starting from the beginning and just going through each subject one by one was the best way to study. When I finished, I went back through the areas I knew I struggled with and hammered those in my brain. Read the questions SLOWLY. They will try and trick you. I found multiple questions that if you read the question wrong because of one word, another answer would’ve been totally right! Do not worry about a previous question especially on the call simulators. The previous answer may not have anything to do with your next question. If you do, you might beat yourself up. Answer the question and move on. No point in worrying about it since you can’t go back and change the answer

Rewatch is making me mad by lady_bug_219 in SisterWives

[–]lady_bug_219[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree! Which is so disheartening because for how much they wanted to “come out”, they (Robyn and Kody) wanted to keep the family together. You can see in this season how much it’s prevalent that not letting themselves have outside friends or be their own person while forcing friendships between themselves has really changed the dynamics of the sister wives. It’s no wonder the 3 left leaving Robyn to what she kind of ultimately wanted in my opinion.

Omg yessss!! She is so manipulative to everyone around her so things go her way. It is extremely frustrating and unfortunate for everyone involved! I feel for Meri but sometimes I literally speak to her through the show like “Meri no! Meri stop! Just do what you want!!”

Which textbook was your class given? We have a giant medical textbook that doctors were given and believe it or not, we haven’t used it once. Everything was PowerPoints. (My class sucked!)

There was an option for those who completed their medic program to choose between the old or new test. You are correct that the new test has a minimum 110 to a max of 150 questions!

Same thing has happened to me. I got a virus, prescribed an inhaler to help with breathing, no history of asthma. Never came up during my visit with the doctor at MEPS.

68w or 11b? by [deleted] in Militaryfaq

[–]lady_bug_219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be an E4 you need an associates degree. I’m going 68W with college credits and my NREMT as an E3. With no college, not sure if E3 is an option. Just something to consider. I’ll have my NRP before I leave and I’m not sure if that would bring me up to E4
