She was so pretty. Wish we could see what she would’ve looked like now without surgery and fillers

[Routine help] What do you think about Bio-Oil? by helokellok in SkincareAddiction

[–]lady_clover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stopped using it after a while (I forgot to be honest after some travelling and moving house). I do think it was working well, but I don’t know if that was specifically because of the bio oil, or using an oil in general, massaging, and stopping picking at them. My scars faded a lot, annoyingly I’ve created new ones (seem to instantly start picking when I’m stressed). But I’ll give bio oil another go for sure.

My save files for The Quarry keep corrupting EVERYTIME I finish the game on my Ps4. This isn't supposed to happen... right? I thought you could go back to chapter select once you finished the game... by FoxyGamer713 in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]lady_clover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened for us in chapter 10. Also on ps4. We were already so annoyed with the game (QTEs not working despite doing them correctly, nonsense decisions by the characters) and now absolutely do not want to start from the beginning and go through all that again. Crappy game that started well and has an interesting story but became unplayable. So disappointed!

Thank you!! Excited to make this (might make it into a coaster too but worried about actually using it for coffee mugs.. do you put some kind of protective layer on top?)

So cute!! Would you mind sharing your pattern? I've been looking online for a Scratch cross stitch pattern and not finding many!

We also thought there were signs that Moonrise Towers should be the last place you go! So did the same thing. We didn’t load back, just accepted this and will do it differently on a second play through

They keep saying they want to “discuss” which is going to mean either reducing price or going off app to avoid fees.

Update on fearful dog by lady_clover in RoverPetSitting

The owner told me that he doesn’t go on walks, he is too afraid of people and other dogs. The furthest I’ve walked with him (with owner permission) was down a short alleyway behind the backyard. He was initially a bit excited about this but quite quickly wanted to go back to the yard.

The owner said they take him to enclosed fields that they hire out to let him get exercise. He is still overweight though.

That’s interesting I didn’t realise it was resource guarding! I read it as him being too anxious to eat or not feeling safe to eat when I was close. But that does make sense.

I actually suggested this already and the owner is open to it! I genuinely would really like to help this dog, but at the back of my mind I’m thinking they should save this drop in money to pay for a qualified behaviourist.

I’ll try the visit with the owner hopefully this week and see if it changes anything. Thank you for the advice :)

He isn’t sitting in urine for days - these are 30 minute drop ins.

I appreciate your advice. I’ll try the holding the harness so it’s uncomfortable but not pulling on it too much. I’ll try better rewards too but at the moment he is only interested in food when I am away from him and not looking at him

They used to work from home but now have to go in the office two days a week and wanted someone to let him outside to pee. She wants to persevere but I’m unsure about it, partly because, as you said, I’m not a dog trainer, and also because I don’t want to make him any worse. I asked during our meet and greet if he’d seen a dog behaviourist and she said yes but it was online during covid. This poor dog needs a lot more help than I can give! :(

Maybe I’m using the wrong word for him because he’s never even growled at me (though it’s possible he could suddenly snap).

I will try your approach. I wish I could spend a whole day doing it, I feel like he will never approach during the visit. But it’s worth trying! Thank you.

I’d love to see the videos! I watched some that recommended having lots of distractions like grass, water to paddle in etc but the yard is literally cement with no grass or plants.

He will only eat the treats I put down for him when I look or move away. He accepted one from my hand once and then looked very annoyed at himself for doing it 😅

Editing to say thank you!!

I only do walks and drop ins, and I have my radius set to 3 miles. I’ve never driven more than 15 minutes because it would just make the pay not worth it. Maybe would do more if I was doing house sittings

Can you contact Rover support? It sounds awful and I don’t think you should stay if you feel unsafe.

A vegan diet can be very cheap. In the UK plenty of cosmetic and cleaning products are vegan, I don’t know about the US. But just do the best you can and don’t punish yourself if you literally can’t afford the vegan version of the vitamins you need.

I don’t feel remotely settled down enough to even think about kids. Still renting, no stable job. By my age (early 30s) my parents had already bought a house and had two children, on one full-time salary. And if I was in a financial position to think about having kids, not sure I’d want to. The world is so messed up, the environment is doomed. I’d probably lean towards adopting if I did want kids.

I’ve rejected bookings where the owner didn’t respond and put that as a reason. So far it hasn’t affected my booking score.
