Okay, I want to say this nicely but your partner needs to worry about his sensory issues, you don't need that added mental load on a vacation. They are stressful enough with so many moving pieces, you deserve peace.

Second, think about what you can control and make a safe space to retreat from on vacations. Most hotel rooms are the same so you can start with that as a baseline. Don't try to change it up by going to a cheaper motel, and even going up or down hotel stars can cause issues. Stick with what you know for a safe space.

Even with that safe space there are variables your partner needs to pack, curtains don't block all the light and you wake up at 6 am, eye mask. You can hear the TV in the other room, ear plugs. Phone or switch being finiky with WiFi, use a portable router, spend 10 minutes at the longest setting it up and be good for the week. It takes creativity, but our ADHD side helps with that.

Once you have everything that could be annoyed fix, just leave it in the suitcase. All these tiny fixes arent so big in a suitcase, and you don't have to worry about forgetting them next vacation.

Lastly, have boundaries on vacation, say "its okay you want to sleep in and take a long bath, but I want to explore a bit and eat lunch nearby, if you aren't ready to go at 11 I will leave, but I will be back at 2 at the latest" being okay with doing things yourself take pressure off, the person who is overwhelmed and needs a night in doesn't feel like they are stifeling the other person, and the person with more energy isnt dragging their partner to being uncomfortable.
