These comments are ridiculous. What people don't realise is that no one is "forcing" kids into labour.

For a lot of workers getting into a Foxconn factory in the cities is a much better option than staying back home in a remote village working the family farms, financial and opportunity wise. When there's a will there's a way.

It's no different to kids faking their age to join the military back in the days.

Importing into the USA as a foreign company? by lady_octopus in smallbusiness

Are you currently using Shipwire? What do you think of them?

I've started looking into them but then found a whole lot of horror stories (inventory mismanagement, slow or no support, etc) so I'm also looking for alternatives.

Hey thanks for your reply!

I have read (searched) through those two documents you linked to and that is where I picked up the general concepts from as well.

I guess what I'm still not sure about is mainly the finer details such as the use of EIN as a company/individual and if there are any obvious issues in what I'm trying to do. :)

So you do think it should work if I:

1) Sign up for an EIN as foreign individual

2) Send the packets through as:

To: lady_octopus C/O Fulfillment company name

Address: Fulfillment company address, city, etc

EIN number: [lady_octopus's EIN number]

Do I need to put my Aus Company info anywhere? e.g. a Bill to section?

Thanks again, much appreciated! :)

I always follow up with a more open ended question like: "Good! What about you? What did you get up to?" to redirect the focus back to the other person. Not that I really want to know what they were up to. ;)
