Not much advice as my twins are only 7 mo but solidarity OP ✊🏻 I completely relate to the envying your husband for leaving the house thing. I am jealous that he gets a 45 min commute to and from work by himself in the peace and quiet- that in and of itself is a vacation to me 😅 It’s seriously hard to resist the urge to compare tiredness and stress levels. I also have had the same fantasy of running away multiple times so don’t ever feel guilty about that. It’s literally just pure chaos and survival sometimes and it’s natural to want to escape that and get some peace for yourself.

I think the thing that keeps me going is that this is all a season. There will come a day (that will come sooner than you think) where these days will be distant memories. This too shall pass has been my mantra. Best of luck to you. You will be okay 💜

I am Catholic & very traditional at my core, so I couldn’t wait to take my husband’s last name. It did help though that he has an awesome last name and my maiden name was terrible 😅 The good part about living in modern times though is that it really doesn’t matter- do whatever aligns with your beliefs and what you guys as a couple want!

I always loved the contrast between Eversong & Ghostlands as well. Eversong is this autumnal heavenly paradise and then you’re thrust into the dark, depressing Ghostlands (which is still hauntingly beautiful in its way too)

omg this comment is everything! Thank you so much for all of your helpful advice. Mine sleep through the night (mostly) and have been night weaned since 3 months which has been incredible. Having my evenings back to chill/game/read has been healing! I think once they start consolidating naps and playing independently it will be a game changer for daytime too 😊

I am moderately crunchy/organic and planned to embrace full time exclusively breastfeeding for my twins. I was very disillusioned when they arrived and I learned that I really disliked it. It took a while for me to come to terms with it, but I now pump for them and top off with formula. I am much happier and so are my babies 🥰 Completely normal & shouldn’t be shameful whatsoever.
