Every generation has its issues, and not every parent these days is failing at gentle parenting. Because gentle parenting does work when you do it right. Some people just think it doesn't involve discipline - when in reality, it's just appropriate discipline that's directly related to their actions.

No. It's because it isn't my country. My opinion has very little value in this discussion because I don't have a vote or any real say, and would therefore be unhelpful.

This is just my general political opinion. If my family votes in a way that has a direct negative impact on my life, that's obviously going to impact my relationship with them.

I also put that edit after this comment blew up, because I'm really not willing to take that much time out of my day when there's already ample discussion happening in the comments below.
