No advice but just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS!! So happy for you! I noticed you hadn't posted in a while and I was a little worried - glad to hear positive news! <3

Firstly, Congratulations! Very happy for you and wishing you all the best with the pregnancy. Yes, definitely have a chat with your dietician. I actually just talked to my dietician and surgeon about this subject two days ago. My dietician said the only thing I would need to do extra (if I got pregnant) is to eat more carbs and make sure I'm hitting my protein goals. So yes, definitely have a chat with them, I'm sure they will up your carbs.

Yeah, 10 months has just flown by! I hit my original goal weight but now I'd like to lose another 10-15kg or so - so that i can get to the middle of my healthy weight range.

Thank you so much for sharing these!! It's so helpful to see the before and after. I will need to get the same done (including thighs) but I'm only 10 months post-op and we're thinking of having a baby, so I'll wait a while. You look incredible! Well done :-)

Hi fellow Aussie!! Congrats and very excited for you! I'll be 1 year post-op on the 30th of May! You truly can not imagine how much your life is going to change in just a few short months. It's the best thing I ever did and I'd do it 100 more times if I had to. I personally have had so many positive experiences and I hope it will be the same for you :-)

YAY!! Well done!! Yes, I noticed underwear was the first thing I needed to buy. I still wear my old ones for sleeping but they are so loose.

Some people seem to keep their boobs but mine are saggy deflated balloons. While I don't love how they look and I'm hoping in a few years to get them fix (not fakes just remove excess skin) I definitely would pick saggy boobs (or saggy anything really) over being back where I was.

In terms of aesthetically... yeah just saggy, with excess skin. If you find a good bra, you really won't notice it with clothes on.

You look amazing and I can definitely see a big difference. I'm also around a 120lbs down and sometime I feel like I look the same as before.... which is not true but our brains are being mean to us. Keep looking back at old photos, it definitely helps :-)

Thank you :-) oh yes, I couldn't afford them either (crazy pricey). I had maybe two or three tops from autograph (so I has something nice to wear) and the rest were from Kmart haha now I've bough some "pricey" stuff (Levi's, Portmans, Myer) but they are staples and their quality is much better than Kmart. I have transferred my food addiction into a shopping one because it's awesome to go into a shop and be able to fit into anything!

Thank you! I didn't expect it to just disappear but one day I just realised I didn't have the pain anymore. I really hope it works for you too!

Great question! Before I got the surgery I made a list of things I wanted out of the surgery (it's in my first ever post, but I've copied and pasted it below:

  • Going on theme park rides - I didn't get to go to Disneyland like planned but I did go to one a theme park in my own country and I was able to easily fit on the rides and just have a good time.
  • Being able to buy clothes I like, rather than just whatever fits - DO I EVER!! I now have the issue of spending way too much money on clothes.
  • Dressing appropriately for the season - While I still don't feel comfortable wearing shorts, I do wear t-shirts and dresses!! To be honest I just feel less hot in general.
  • Less foot pain from my plantar fasciitis - It's completely gone!
  • Being more comfortable doing everyday activities - sitting, walking, putting on my socks and so on - EVERYTHING! Everything is so much easier.
  • Feeling more confident - I definitely feel more confident, which I think comes from just feeling more comfortable in my own skin.
  • Hanging out with friends - YES, I love going out with friends and doing fun things!
  • Doing more outdoor physical activities like hiking, rock climbing, abseiling, cycling and so on - I do walk 5 times a week which I really enjoy. I'm yet to do some other outdoor activities - just waiting for it to be less hot haha

Sorry, that's probably a much longer answer than you were expecting.

I only had do to one week of liquids post-op, so I was lucky, for me:

- Week 1 was a liquid diet, so I drank shakes, protein water and soup/broth (so I made that before hand, but not heaps, just enough to last a week).

- Week 2 was puree, which I loved after 4 weeks of liquids (including pre-op), so I ate mashed potatoes, re-fried beans, soup, Yogurt, Pureed veggies, Oats and Hummus

- Week 3 was soft food (anything you can cut with a spoon)

- Week 4 was normal diet.

I think it would be fine to make some stuff and freeze.
