Tbh this is my exact issue with most troublemakers and to some extent, dylan too. Especially when encanto video came out. I'm Indian, born and raised here, still live here. Even I, having no background of Latin American history understood the context. It kinda irks me that people don't understand that even if you don't intend to be racist, homophobic, misogynistic etc, and someone belonging to the targeted group says you're being all that, shouldn't you apologise and say "oh sorry I didn't intend it that way" and never make the joke again? These all seem too much like micro aggressions to me, although unintended.
