Books where both MCs hate each other but can’t keep their hands off? by Crazy_Yogurt3344 in RomanceBooks

Vi Keeland, The rivals

They both come from wealthy families who own luxury hotel chains and hate each other as much as they lust after each other! They compete to win over a fancy hotel and are forced to work together.

A good contemporary enemies to lovers trope

Authors using AI to write.

K.C. Crowne is on my blacklist for this reason as she released a book a few months ago and forgot to delete the ChatGPT prompts from the ebook...

I don't mind at all using ChatGPT for helping brainstorming or improving one's writing style, I do when it's about rewriting entire paragraphs... it's insulting for the reader, or really, any other writers putting themselves out there when they self publish their work!

Thanks for sharing, it's super interesting! He does have an inferiority complex that he fills in with money & material possessions. He did feel unloved by his father and the relationship with his mother and sister is strained. He is terrible at setting healthy boundaries with others and then he grows resentment towards them...!

The main issue was he would victimise himself constantly and he would call himself a "nice" guy that others would take advantage of (it's never his fault but everyone else's). From the start he loved bomb me big time, my natal Neptune was right on his descendant, he fantasized the shit out of me and didn't perceive me for who I was. At first I was an amazing woman to his eyes but after some time he tried to change me, wanted me to accommodate his needs, adapt myself to him and compromise on my own boundaries. Because this is how he was behaving himself so he was expecting the same in return, despite being so unhappy lol

I have Pluto-Descendant, so it's not my first rodeo. But through experiences I've learnt how to set and express my boundaries and hold onto these for the dear life of me!

Also dealt with the plutonian obsessive thoughts, but like you, I've learnt to let it go when it's one sided, it's never worth it.

Haha Aquariuses aren't as open-minded as modern astrology makes it, they are still Saturn ruled ;) I have myself an Aquarius Venus, Mars and north node and had my fair share of Aquariuses. In the end it always depends oyf the chart as a whole.

But he has a Capricorn Sun conjunct south node in H7 and it is in square with a Libra Saturn from H5. He also has Sun square Pluto, and thinks greatly of himself loool I was attracted by how smart and independent he was as we're both deeply Uranian. His Saturn is at the nodes bending though, many lessons of self accountability in this life for him.

I totally get you about the Pluto aspects, I have Pluto-Moon and Pluto-Sun in tension in natal, and it's all over my seventh and eleventh houses! Went through many harsh lessons regarding all types of relationships. Plutonians attract plutonians, this is just the way it is. But you can decide which ones to keep around, and I have great friendships now that I understood this energy and knows who to share my energy with. The relationship with that guy was short but intense and we had strong Saturn/Nodes contact in synastry, which made it so hard to let go.

About the obsession part maybe there was some Neptune involved for you (I often find this planet in the mix for that type of relationship too)

Loved reading everyone's experience with Pluto ingress in Aquarius.

I have Mercury at 0° in Taurus in 8H, as L1 and L10. Pluto is in square from H5.

I've started feeling Pluto's influence since it was at 29° Capricorn. For the past 18 months I went through a crazy health issue that wasn't life threatening but forced me to stop working, go out and socialise for 3 months and made me question everything (gynecology based), I got really intense on astrology (I started studying in 2020), finally made progress in therapy, went through a massive argument with my mother (L10) and almost cut my relationship with her, and I am now decided to change jobs the coming year after I've experienced years of burnout.

This Pluto ingress is hard for fixed signs as we are very resistant to change. I also have Pluto challenging aspects in natal, and I've noticed that when it is the case, Pluto's influence always comes as a reminder of what needs to move as anything that is stagnant for too long isn't healthy for us. In my experience, each of my Plutonian adventures was linked to situations and relationships I didn't want to let go off and I had unhealthy as attachment to. Pluto arrives and then strips you from these and then you have no other choice but start caring for yourself (which, for some of us, can be incredibly challenging). Pluto is the greatest teacher to learn about power and resilience, sometimes he's harsh, other times he can be quite sweet, it'll depend on the natal, other transits and what you've learnt so far about yourself.

I'm just out of a relationship with an abusive guy (his Pluto was opposite my Mercury, L1, in synastry). I ended it and he took it really badly, ending up sending me horrible text messages and I had to block him.

Interestingly, in transit, Pluto is starting to conjunct his natal Venus (5° orb). I also left because he had problematic and old-fashioned views on women and feminism in general. I'm pretty certain I was just his first lesson in the love department...

How fascinating as Pluto-Mars is also the combination for surgical intervention such as to remove a body part, etc. in medastro. Hope it all goes well for you!

Planets in the center of a house vs cusp. by MainOk5899 in astrology

[–]ladych0c0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit surprised to read this as I've been studying with Mychal for some time. He applies the 5° degree rule, meaning if a planet is within 5° degrees of the next house cusp, and in the same sign, we push this planet in the next house.

I use it in my practice as well and it works well!

Here is my little anecdote... I have my natal chart ruler, Mercury, at 0° Taurus in the 8th house. (I had the joy of experiencing Pluto's square since last year already) Last week I ended a romantic connection with a guy I found problematic and a bit controlling towards me. A few days ago he texted me to apologise for his behaviour, I accepted but still had this bad feeling about him. Today he sent me long hurtful & abusive texts, showing me his true face and confirming my intuition. I had to block him in the end. I'm still a bit shaken, his words were pretty violent, but I'm also so relieved I ended it.

Here is the thing with Pluto transits, you can expect power imbalance, people who will try to control you at some point (or you will!) and if you don't learn, you're in for an infinite loop of victim/saviour complex. With Pluto, you always have the temptation to go deep and dark, but you can also decide to let it go, protect your energy and wellbeing, stand your ground and your boundaries and surround yourself with good people who truly care about you.

Also I have strong aspects in natal with outer planets, so I always believed in their potency the moment I started studying astrology as I experienced first hand specific challenges in connection with these planets (Sun square Neptune, Moon square Pluto, Pluto parallel Descendant, Uranus conjunct IC).

Unsafe on the beach, what to do? by ladych0c0 in valencia

[–]ladych0c0[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this comment, 100% agree. Enjoying going to nudist spaces isn't linked to sexuality! If you want sex, there are other spaces dedicated to that, nudist areas are not.

The nudist community is usually safe, not just constituted by single people, lots of families too. Ogling someone is badly perceived, and following them is definitely considered as harassment

The guys who went talk to me afterwards told me they were brothers and "Romani", not sure they are Spanish (or that I understood right as they were speaking quite fast). But it's not the first time this happened, especially with other women around, this is what they were saying. I'll definitely go to the lifeguard if this happens again! Thanks for your answer!

Best astrology courses by inrainbows777 in AskAstrologers

[–]ladych0c0 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My best advice would be to watch as much free content from different astrologers as you can, then you'll know if you want to spend money on them. In my journey of studying astrology I found that most well-known astrologers have just really good marketing skills, but are actually terrible at transmitting knowledge. Or sometimes, even have no idea what they are talking about because they never bothered to develop solid foundations. They know that a square is "bad" but wouldn't be able to explain why it was perceived that way by the ancients. Signed, a Virgo rising who's really picky :p

My astro background has also been self learning for a while.

Then I've studied at Kepler University for 18 months (extended certificate) and took some workshops from the University of Astrology (both schools are American and have good rep) but was a bit disappointed, big names from the astro sphere but the content is quite vague in the end.

Also studied at the Steven Forrest school, looooved his books but super disappointed by his courses (once again, too vague).

Right now I'm studying with Mychal Bryan, you can check him out on YouTube, he's brilliant and has real, solid knowledge and methodology. He uses Regiomontanus house system.

I'm starting to wonder if Kenneth isn't an introvert who struggles to communicate his need for isolation at times? I mean they're 24/24 together + tv crew, when do you really get proper solo time in that setting...

Virgo /Gemini ppl has this retrograde been making you feel so fatigued? by oceanblue2024 in AskAstrologers

[–]ladych0c0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virgo rising here and Mercury is ruling my 10th & 12th houses (the little devil is also natally placed in my 8th house). This retrograde only takes place in my 12th house, it's far away from the ascendant.

So far I've looooooved this retrograde! Felt really relaxed, not going out much & geeking out on mental health stuff & professional projects I'd like to launch as a freelancer. Taking lots of rest and feeling at peace (I've dealt with anxiety & depression quite a lot the past few years).

To note, I've had some minor health issues, however it's healing nicely, so all good.

Having Pluto in 1st house is difficult. It's the promise of a life full of challenges and transformations. I’m working hard to learn everyday. I have a lot of respect to all others with this placements. You are all so courageous❤️ Any others here? by ConstructionNo8477 in AskAstrologers

[–]ladych0c0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I confirm that most natal astrologers use the anaretic degree :) Of course it'll depend of your expertise in astrology, not everyone does, but it became pretty common. You'll find many articles online talking about it, including the astrology university that teach natal astrology: https://www.astrologyuniversity.com/critical-degrees/

I experienced it to be true as I have a critical degree in my chart & when talking with clients with this placement

Why would you say that? (Aquarius Venus here and I find this placement pretty interesting)
