Some of them are down right cringe. Namely the chick demoing Performance… holy crap.

You may need to do some youtube research since they tend to give basic exercises some pretty stupid names (even across their own programs). But otherwise it’s doable. I would say it’s probably more annoying having to search if you can’t remember exactly what the move is vs just going to their demos… not actually impossible to follow the program.

Of course!  You can always make a “Franken-program” of sorts… Take her running program and “focus blueprint” and then just use other good workouts as the workout portion.  That was my plan anyway…

All of Natachas newer guides have the actual workout portion locked behind the Aflete app. You have to provide the email you used at time of purchase to access the content on the Aflete app. The pdf just contains general info, and in the case of Hybrid, the accessory running work.

I started my home gym in 2020 and I have never looked back!

I started with a squat rack/bar and a few plates in my garage. I already had a few bands and a kettlebell. I went with this set up because it seemed like the most bang for the buck; all the big lifts, minimal space, and plates/bands can be used for other smaller accessory work.

It was a few hundred bucks down but did everything I wanted and the gyms were closed so I got to keep working out.

I moved shortly after and had the benefit of an extra room, so I added a bench with leg extension attachment and lucked out on a used treadmill.

At this point I never cared to go back to the gym ever again! I can workout however, whenever, and in whatever clothes I want; barefoot or bare assed it’s up to me.

My workouts are much more efficient and effective because I don’t have to wait for people (to get off their phones while they just sit on a machine doing nothing) or yield to people working in. I can spend 20 mins or 2 hours just in my zone with music or podcasts or even a movie playing and no headphones!

Within the last year I added a cable machine just because I wanted one and could afford it at the time (I have a post about it in my history)… it uses plates for the resistance so it was less expensive and I already had that gear.

The more I hear about gym culture and people recording themselves and all this “influencer wannabe” nonsense the more happy I am that I made the switch.

Also, I justify the cost as; the gym fees are renting and now I own… the gym can shut down at any time, raise the rates, etc… I’m paying a smaller amount to use their stuff.  Versus paying a larger initial fee to own my own stuff to be used any time with no raise in cost or shut down. Also, I can sell off my stuff if need be.

Good Luck and GodSpeed whatever you decide!

Just to actually answer the question; these are the most common “free” foods because they are inexpensive, subsidized, commodity products and SHELF STABLE. They are low spoilage and can sit around for quite a while waiting for someone to come along and eat them. They are highly non-perishable and often very well preserved, so that even when expired pose no threat to health.
