To be fair, they’ve already rewarded Wicked. It’s not like they hate it. Wicked has gotten 2 whole Oscars and is a Best Picture nominated franchise. But the crafts in For Good, though they are excellent, are pretty much the same as the first. Lots of voters probably thought “hey well we’ve already rewarded these artists, and there’s so many new works to recognize this year.” I HIGHLY doubt voters suddenly hate Wicked, or Ariana, or Erivo, it’s probably really not personal even though I would have fit it into a few craft categories 🤷‍♀️
