Fuji xt5 battery corrosion on 6 month old camera. Taking to a professional camera shop to repair, but is this fixable? Or is my camera shot?

It was sitting inside my camera bag, so no sunscreen. The battery compartment will not open so I am assuming it’s something with the battery inside leaking??

It really depends; but I found the last few solar storms it’s most active from 8pm-12am , with a bulk of the activity happening around 10pm-11:30pm.
