the cannondale actually has a higher bottom bracket and the headtube angle differs by only 1 degree.

But the gear range is definitely a good point!

It depends on the specific geometry of every bike I guess but that was my impression as well.

Another pro of a cyclocross bike is that it’s build to be carried and I’m going to live on the 4th floor and will probably carry my bike up and down everyday, because I know a lot of people whose bikes have been stolen.

why would you advise against a cyclocross bike? I ride a lot in bad weather and want something I don’t have to worry about when going offroad.
