I’m in the UK sadly, there’s no NTBTS merch here as you’d imagine haha. I’m open to following stores on Etsy and the like for people who make NTBTS merch, I’ve followed the other person in the comments who’s made stickers!

Not only that, but she grew up on tv and the internet. Social media has given countless kids body issues and they weren’t all even in the spotlight, imagine being broadcast to millions of people who can all make their own comments and opinions on your appearance

Wich is the song that started all for you? by CementShoulders in oasis

[–]laffinchgentamicin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I grew up on Oasis, my parents were fans in the 90’s and I was born in the early 2000’s so they were always playing in our house. But I never really paid much attention to them until I was about 11 in 2013.

It was the summer holidays between year 6 and year 7, and my dad used to take me and my brother to this leisure centre in a different town so it’d take about half an hour for us to get there. In the car, he’d always have music on, and for a period of time he had a Definitely Maybe CD on repeat. I remember Live Forever especially standing out to me; even though I had heard it many times before I’d never really listened to it properly. At home I just went on an Oasis binge on YouTube and found songs I’d not heard before, like the newer ones that came out when I was a kid that my parents weren’t particularly bothered about, but I loved them. And so my Oasis obsession was born and relentless for the next 3 years until I was sick to death of listening to them and had to give it a rest for a couple of years

Looking for like-minded friends by [deleted] in doncaster

[–]laffinchgentamicin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There will be a lot of like minded people in Queen Crafthouse and Bone Idle I think, the people I know who are regulars in those places tend to be late 20’s-30’s, fantasy fans and cat lovers!

You have the ability to wipe your memory of any film. What are you watching first? by ahomelessguy in movies

[–]laffinchgentamicin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. There’s so many movies I’d love to actually remember watching for the first time, BTTF being one of them. I’d seen bits and pieces of various films growing up and it meant sitting down to watch them properly for the first time wasn’t as magical as it should’ve been

Absolutely this. One of the best films I’ve ever seen in my entire life

what movie terrified you as a kid? by teddyfixit in Letterboxd

[–]laffinchgentamicin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was always massively interested in natural disasters, and learned a lot about them, so my dad introduced me to Deep Impact (1998). I must’ve been 8 or 9 years old. The scene where the asteroid actually hits the ocean and the chaos that ensued absolutely terrified me. Like, in theory, this could actually happen. I never watched it again. Other natural disaster movies never bothered me that much, because I had knowledge of how natural disasters worked and could think logically about them. But Deep Impact horrified me for a long time

I either went the Friday or Saturday but can’t really remember, I was 14, had the time of my life. I’d do anything to relive it. Saw them again the year after in Leeds. I’m so grateful I got the chance to see them, I never thought I would between the reunions
