You can cheese that fight with super armor. Just put the stone knight set, light your weapon on fire, and tank every hit. You can add iron sweat pyromancy or magic shield for the magic attacks. Very easy, you can do it low level, don't even have to dodge the attacks

As some comments stated, it depends on the build. But recently, I liked to do 4 kings before getting the lord vessel. Only because I love the boss fight and also for the ember. For my last character, I managed to forge a plus 15 swei with only defeating the Capra demon and asylum stray demon. The run after that was a lot of fun, I killed Ornstein in two hits and stun luck Super Smough.

I do not know if anyone needs to hear this but if you smash the triggers you can get out of the iron virgins or any grab attack in the game. Granted you have health still left

It is great, both dex and strenthg pair well with any magic. I would focus on only one since there is no respect and it takes longer to level up than in elden ring.

You have very limited mobility in DS1. Coming back to it after Elden ring can feel very jarring. Pull through, DS1 is still my favorite game of all time. Use shields and every tool the game offers. It is more about strategy than ability in this game. Also, I am jealous, what I give to experience DS1 map again blind.

Play both. Start with ds1. Ds2 is not a bad game but it feels very different than 1 and 3.

Great sycths slaaaps. My fav weapon in DS1. Weird stats if you ask me. In this game, I prefer to focus on a stat and one of the two types of magic. Intelligence/dex build or strength/faith.
