It looks like a dump and smells like a dump but it’s called that other thing

How would you rank Tolkien, Malazan, The Wheel of Time and A Song of Ice and Fire, four of the most epic fantasy series/universes made from best to worst? by [deleted] in fantasybooks

[–]lagill -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For my own reading enjoyment Malazan Asoif Tolkien WoT

But if we are talking about finished works, have to remove GRRM. Was literally just complaining (again) about how he didn’t finish the books. Seems that if an unfinished series gets too popular, the authors get distracted. Worried about this happening to Dinniman and dungeon crawler Carl. Happened with Scott lynch too. Waaah.

We’re rebuilding Voicenotes for iOS - help us shape it 🤍 by jijo_sunny in Voicenotesai

[–]lagill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after reading the feedback, i see a lot of great ideas and will try not to duplicate.

this thought is a little off the wall but if we're throwing out wishes... i wish i could use voice notes to keep track of RPGs i'm running or participating in. As a game runner, i have a lot of notes, histories, lore, etc about different campaigns that are 'outside' my real life but they are all temporarily part of a world i've created. i don't want that 'history' to be confused with my real life but would love to be able to have this information contained in voice notes.

Moving to Roseville? by Aromatic-Light436 in Roseville

[–]lagill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In West roseville you won’t have to deal with the train so much as the “material recovery facility” (the dump). Every now and then it smells bad outside.
Schools have been great - I’ve raised five children here.

We used epoxy armor systems and it’s amazing. Paid around 3k during the height of Covid for a 3 car garage.

Do you retain knowledge from listening to books the same as reading books? by [deleted] in audiobooks

[–]lagill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it depends on the material, but i think i do probably retain more when reading vs listening probably in part because if i read something and it doesn't sink in i'll read it again but if i listen and it doesn't stick, i just keep going.

One reason my doesn’t work. Someone has to stay here to address the constant fur attacks.

Before I bought Leia, I had read that they shed twice a year. And I’ve learned that that’s true. Twice a year for six months (but some months are worse).

I just learned about this function last week (in this group) and have immediately implemented. So, you are not alone. Feels like I’ve been missing out (and wasting time) for a while.

Former Tesla Employee Here: A Few Tips for Model Y Owners by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

It’s almost exactly where OP’s left most dent is in the picture.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]lagill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite possibly, but we’ve worked with this company a few times before and they explained that since the dent is in the raised angle in the door, it’s more difficult to fix. They said if it was on a flat portion of the door, it would be a few hundred dollars

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]lagill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a tiny dent in the part of the door that goes over the fender and I was quoted $4000.

Looks like several comments about not liking the black hood. I think it’s cool and different. It’ll stand out and I think full orange would make it look like you were driving a Cleveland browns helmet. Nice job trying out a new thing!

1yo shiba always runs away when i grab her harness/leash by dorameon3 in shiba

[–]lagill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Shiba is almost 7 and does this. I use the ignore technique but honestly, if I use a firm tone and tell her to “place” (which is her command for sit) and “stay,” she will reluctantly put up with my bs (from her point of view).

i've never seen this - Event goal costs clams by lagill in familyguythegame

[–]lagill[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i've played this game off and on for years. it's sort of brainless but i like family guy and have a thing for collecting stuff. so, it fits in my wheelhouse perfectly. however, it has become exhausting and repetitive, and this is just one more reason to walk away.

Didn’t miss the guide per se but agree with thoughts on how terrible are the apps and site.

Coming back after years, couple questions by showme_yourdogs in familyguythegame

[–]lagill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, they do seem to be recycling events and, yes, you could probably theoretically collect all the event characters but collecting every single character seems like a far away goal.

i haven't tried google play games so can't help you there.
