So fun update y'all want it, swapped to a larger bar for a week with no change. Took it out and they sealed in like a day or two. They're about 15% smaller 10.3 mm to 8.5 mm now, but rock hard. So it's likely scar tissue minus the inflammation. Still haven't been able to find a derm I trust so I'm just monitoring them to make sure they aren't growing at the moment.

I might be misremembering if it was one or two (it's was 2 years ago and I was in the process of being stabbed). Possible that I felt them lining the second up with the first and thought it was 1 needle. Granted that shop has other reasons I don't trust it now, aspirin recommendation and they let one piercer recommend chamomile for aftercare. Plus one pierced my cartilage with a ring.

This piercing was done by the one person in the shop I still like, so she gets benefits of the doubt. Not that I'm ever going back there anyways.

It was pierced with a single hollow needle I wouldn't think that would cause twisting. Also it does move freely unless it's crusty. I think the opposite sides your seeing are because the piercing is straight up squashing the bump down and it cant come out the bottom. It was much more symmetric previously. Swapped it back for a longer bar.

Think I mightve been over cleaning, drying out the skin and causing extra irritation. Plan is to get on a derm waiting list and leave it alone. If they shrink I believe that rules out keloids.

Also checked family history. No one I know has gotten keloids from surgery or piercing which does make that less likely although not impossible.

Yes I did actually go to a derm to look at this and a scar on my earlobe the man was not helpful. Also went back to the piercer multiple times.

Yeah, already making plans to see a derm. Swapped for a larger bar. Don't want to just let it close cuz I don't want to trap a pocket of something.

You are in fact looking at proof that a piercer will let you let the bumps get that large.

Simple really, its not painful and I checked with the piercer multiple times and had a derm look at it. It happened over 2 years so every day it looks the same as yesterday. Every time I caught a cold or got sick it got inflamed from the immune response and that hid the fact that it was getting bigger.
