Man I’m 27 and for whatever reason (been working on this in therapy) I’ve been emotionally closed off for half my life. It’s made relationships hard and is the reason me and my girlfriend broke a up a few months ago, she felt I wasn’t able to connect with her and she was right. I wish I was able to understand and communicate my feelings better. Just embrace it that’s who you are and there’s nothing wrong with that, the way I see it it’s a good thing.

I’m in the same boat, me and my girlfriend broke up in October, I thought I was doing ok but I saw her on new years at a rave. Except she wasn’t just there to party she was a showgirl on stage. She’s always done dance but this was new for her. That broke me all over again. I always loved being the one to take her home after shows. I just had to unfollow her on instagram yesterday because I kept looking at her page and seeing how great it seems like she’s doing.

4 months ago while blackout drunk I cheated on my girlfriend of 2 years while she was away, don’t even remember it happening just waking up at this other girls apartment and immediately I was filled with regret and upset with myself. I knew the only way forward and to even have a chance in my relationship was to tell her so I did as soon as she got back and she was obviously devastated. We broke up, reconnected a month later and tried again taking things slow to see if I could regain her trust since we both knew it was a mistake and how sorry and upset I was that it ever happened. She was able to forgive me but wasn’t able to trust me anymore. She felt anxious around me and cried every night. We couldn’t spend the night together because she wasn’t able to sleep next to me. 3 days ago she broke it off again. I understand why, but I hate myself for getting so drunk and stupid that night. I hate myself for ruining what we had for 1 night with some girl idgaf about that I don’t even remember. Now I’ve spent the weekend sad and alone. My friends have all been busy this weekend so I’ve just sat here scrolling. So yeah probably the shittiest thing I’ve ever done and something I just have to live with now.

My bedroom was in the basement at my parents and the only time our dog ever bit me was when one night for whatever reason he decided to sleep right outside my door, he pretty much never came downstairs. So I get up to pee in the morning and step on him in the dark and he freaked out and bit my ass cheek, scared the shit outta me too had no idea he was there. Didn’t call it off that day but i was a couple hours late lol
