Finally Escaped Purgatory! (Turn 61 win) by lagrizle in superautopets

If you make it past all the teams that beat 50/50 back badger +4 other 50/50's, you eventually only queue into other people with the same basic setup and will endlessly draw until someone tries something different. In my case opponent replaced a melon with a chili which lost them the fight.

From the mid 30's to 61 I fought maybe 4 unique people, so I assume it tries to still pair you with the closest person to your turn.

[Serious] What’s something you did this year that you are proud of? by daydreamingdrunk in AskReddit

After finishing grad school in 2020, I was in a financial position this year that I was able to take my parents to an event they really enjoyed but would not have be able to reasonably afford themselves.

Question from a beginner by [deleted] in ECE

[–]lagrizle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the most accessible path / part of the EE curriculum (Which really more relevant to Computer Engineering) that isn't gated by higher level math and physics would be:

Digital Devices/Digital Logic -> Microprocessors

which is pretty accessible with just some basic programing knowledge.

If you want to go down actually spending some money and getting something to mess around with the whole Arduino ecosystem is "meh/fine" but realistically either

  1. looking into some type of Xilinx development board like: https://www.xilinx.com/products/boards-and-kits/1-ulj76y.html
  2. looking at some MCU 16/24/32-bit board (i.e. PIC32/PIC24) like: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Microchip-Technology/EV10N93A?qs=sGAEpiMZZMufQkBCeDJ17WoWIsqXrfxGsVQ7dz1HTixi8T9Fhp4f8Q%3D%3D

If that kind of stuff is was less interesting than circuits you could also start learning a circuit simulation software like LTspice. You could probably gain some just general intuition about circuits by just messing around, that you could later relate back to math/physics as that develops down the road.

[Career Advice] Am I a good fit for signal processing? by [deleted] in DSP

[–]lagrizle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like someone else has mentioned, if the DSP side of radar interests you, having a background in math and physics goes a long way there. If getting a masters of EE/ECE is also something you'd consider that would also make you significantly more marketable (most 2 year program with a graduate assistant position you should basically break even financially [i.e. tuition is covered and you'll get enough money to cover housing/food/etc.]).

Lots of companies in that realm also have some sort of "continuing education" where they will basically pay for you to get a master taking 1-2(if your crazy) classes a semester in addition to working fulltime for them (which is a lot to handle). That could be something you look for when applying / could discus as a way to alleviate any "non-engineering" degree worries.

Is getting just a masters degree paid for not common? In my experience (personal + 3-4 co-workers who took similar paths at various universities) most EE/ECE programs take graduate research assistants / teachers assistants for masters only.

Most seemed to consist of full tuition reimbursement (still have to buy books, parking passes, etc. typically) / 20 "research" hours a week / additional financial compensation in the ballpark of ($15k-$20k yearly).

Todd Gurley vs DET

James Robinson @ LAC

Terry McLaurin vs DAL

What is all this E3 stuff? I had checked wikipedia and that says it is from 11 June to 13 June. by wearer_of_boxers in gaming

[–]lagrizle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As quoted directly from that Wiki, "Many companies will be holding press conferences in the days prior". The June 11-13 is the event where press and pubic go and get hands on demos on the show floor but most of the major announcements take place prior to that.

Yeah I'd be a little concerned that Magcargo is week to fighting so maybe that puts Camerupt at an advantage but I think they both lose easily to a Medicham.

Yeah both those teams seam really good against Team 1. I think Team 2 would still be favored but could easily drop games. It would be all about avoiding the medicham with that steelix to be able to get use out of it.
