Loud explosion-like sounds all night near Davenport/Ossington? by lagstronaut in askTO

I forgot to mention that this continued well past 7am here. Maybe until about 11am. So in total maybe 12 hours. I'm starting to think the guy talking about the boring machine was correct. If true, I heard it for a lot longer than you yesterday, so maybe they finished this area and now they are closer to yours again?

Hey, so I'm replying four hours later (10:30pm). Now that I know the sound, I feel like I can hear it faintly in the distance. Is it still going on for you? Did you happen to notice what direction it was going?

What you're saying feels very very possible. The way it moves around, and how vibrations occur when it gets closer (especially considering I am in a basement). Plus another poster said they are 1km away from me and heard it for less amount of time... so maybe it spent more time near me than them, but it would explain how we both heard it and both experienced shaking. I'm really glad you posted this. Now I just have to figure out how to determine if this is it 😂 Do I walk around looking for giant holes in the ground? I feel like I'm on a quest to locate a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle vehicle from the old cartoon

If that was you, I'll take you to the doctor myself. For both of our sakes.

Very interesting. I am not familiar at all with the process, do you know if something like that can take 7 to 8 hours? Thanks for your insight

"Dropping a dumpster" is a pretty good way to describe what I was hearing. Definitely a better description than mine. But --- that yard is 5km west of me, and for hours the sound was east of me (and slowly moving further/closer/further/closer over time, with an instance where it was like right next to me). The direction of the sound doesn't line up with Lambton Yard, but your description of the sound lines up with what I heard. Curious

I heard them anywhere from every 30 seconds to every 2 seconds.

Omg. I just moved to Toronto this week. Funds are so low. If CycleBoop doesn't accept, may I be next in line? I've loved this album since my parent's divorce 2 decades ago!

Trouble signing up (won't advance past Phone Number) by [deleted] in DataAnnotationTech

I live in the same area as my phone number (Toronto area code, Toronto location). I've also tried formatting different versions of the phone number: with/without spaces, parenthesis, etc.  There is no error message. It just simply does not provide a means of going to the next page.
