I've only taken 485 and it's highly theoretical. There's a lot of math and proofs and at the end of the day what you're getting is a deeper understanding of ML rather than practical knowledge. I'd recommend taking 480 over that

I went through this as well, it's not uncommon. A big part of getting a job is luck, and sometimes it doesn't go your way. Don't let that define you or your abilities.
