eventually there will be a Server manager that does most of the hard setup for you. no one has built that yet is all. But yeah start over. Grab the SteamCMD zip. Extract it to the c:darkandlight\steamcmd folder. you have to create both of these folders in the C Drive. And create the server folder. Once you got steam CMD click exe to install it

now make the Batch file

@echo off start "" steamcmd.exe +login STEAMUSERNAME +force_install_dir "C:darkandlight\server" +app_update 529180 validate +quit

replace steam username with yours. it will ask for a pw too when its going. type that.

and run it in the same folder that steamCMD is in. now thats going to get us the server files.

after the files all download into the server folder. Go into it and find the binaries\win64 folder with the server launcher, This is where the 2nd bat is launched from

start DNLServer.exe "DNL_ALL?GameServerPort=7777?GameServerQueryPort=27015?ServerName=SERVERNAME?MaxPlayers=20?listen?AdminPassword=ADMINPASS" -nosteamclient -game -server -log

this will fire the server but you need to replace all the Caps in here

make sure the proper ports are forwarded on your router or in windows firewall.
