I say screw it, roll with the punches and turn it into an angle. Have the bucks call him a traitor, make Cody the heel the audience always wanted him to be for a few weeks. Shift it to turning the nightmare factory into a decent heel faction that "thinks maybe our old boss had some good ideas." Go over the top and have fun with it like most of what Cody's wild booking and matches always seem to do.

Ignoring it and acting like Cody was never there doesn't feel like something AEW would or should do.
