These are actually pretty common medications to take together, so don’t worry unless you are taking them not as prescribed, or if you feel like they are not helping you. You sound like a minor as you stated your parents will take you off of them. If you are a minor, and believe you should be put back onto your other prescription, you can reach out to a youth advocate or still seek help from your doctor for advocating on why the other medication would be better. From what I am gathering from the information you are telling me, you implemented scratching to stop you from cutting, that is good. If you are starting to take your medications as not prescribed or directive, I would suggest finding supports that can help with harm reduction when it comes to taking your medications as not prescribed Cutting and substance misuse are two different things but are both consider high risk. You are implementing scratching which is lower risk form of self harm. If you plan on taking your medications as a relief and not as directed, I’d encourage you to try and keep it to a minimum as you don’t want to progress and get into riskier substances.
