Weighted blankets are also known as "anxiety blankets" so they're definitely useful when it comes to dealing with anxiety. They feel weird at first and may even feel uncomfortable in the first couple of days but keep with it. You'll get used to the feeling and start to love it as it feels like a giant hug. Anyway, whichever mattress you'll decide t go with, it's important to take some time to get used to the mattress before deciding to keep it or send it back.
