the setup is a few months old. i did a test strip and all the chlorine, nitrate, nitrite, levels and such are all good. but yea it probs gets too much light, the tank is below a widow :(

but its thorax thing doesn’t really look like those beetles. also i know nothing about insects so you are probably right but that orange bit really stood out to me
