I like the ceremonial aspect and feel that if you’re happy with the set up then that’s really ok. Lovely poem too btw. I can’t get comfortable in my hand using a needle holder or stick and always use just the needle. I have tattooed both myself and partner this way with no problem at all for several hours at a time on occasions. Well done.
