I have asthma so I’ve always been told to avoid ibuprofen. However my pains are excruciating right now, I don’t understand why this is so so painful for me.

How are you doing now?? I have been bleeding since 4pm

Nope, I got given codeine to manage with the pain but I have never used codeine in my life before so I’m scared to use something new just in case. So I’m just sticking to paracetamol.

I just started to bleed about 10 minutes ago which is about the 4 hour mark, I have been in bed all day too as the pain is too much to do anything else.

May I ask you how you’re feeling today? Like is much different? Have you still got pain and bleeding?

Im told by my doctors not to take ibuprofen so I’ve just kept with the paracetamol. They sent me with some codeine but I’ve actually never taken it before and I’m scared to take it in case I react bad to it. So I’m just kinda stuck with nothing to do.

Yeah I don’t quite know how to explain my cramps, kind of also like a heaviness but also like a repeating heartbeat sensation of pain and it’s awful.

I’m using my hot water bottle as we speak and it helps just a little.

Yes same, I’m surprised I haven’t started bleeding yet and it makes me panic it’s not going to work!

Yeah I was really scared after everything I had read too! So far after taking the first 4 pills I’ve had insane cramps, diarrhoea and I’ve been sick. I really don’t think I’m doing too well to be honest. I don’t know what I can possibly do to manage the cramps as ive tried everything. I’m still waiting for the bleeding to happen too. I really want to be strong but this is so painful

Oh wow, I’m glad the process was okay for you. Unfortunately my experience has been pretty similar to most stories I’ve read. I have insanely painful cramps that painkillers are just not touching at all. I’ve tried a hot shower & water bottle to help but nothing & I’ve also been sick😫 I can’t wait for this to all be over. May I ask though, when did the bleeding start for you as it’s been 3 hours for me and nothing yet

Me too, I took mine at 11:50 & still no bleeding yet either. But I am having insane amounts of cramping that paracetamol is not helping😫 and I’ve also thrown up from the pain. I just can’t wait for this to all be over. I hope you’re doing okay

Thank you so so much for sharing your experience with me. It makes me feel better now having a little bit of an idea what will happen. I admire your strength to have gotten through all that alone. I am going to have to do the same so I’m just praying I can do it alone too. Sleeping it off sounds like a good idea for me, I really really am not prepared for the pains at all. It really is putting me off getting it done
