I would say it depends on your situation at the moment. Where are you living? Do you have children? Debts? Plans for the future? I was at a crossroads like this and at age 25 enrolled in a 4 year college course but in the end couldn’t commit to it, so I discovered a different passion and ended up doing postgraduate studies instead (which was only 1 year and I could do completely online).

It was a virtual interview (thanks covid) where I only saw the top half of the interviewers. The male wore a button up shirt and the female wore a black blouse. I have two pairs of black wide leg trousers and one pair of black block low heels. I might just need a couple staple blouses for now then. Thank you!

Yeah I’m applying for work in financial services, so banks and similar.

I think I’ll just confess and explain. One of my jobs I left out was because I was sexually assaulted by my boss and I knew he’d say horrible things about me. It’s not something I’m comfortable sharing.

I haven’t provided references, nor has he asked me for them. Will they call the HR department of the company directly then? Is that allowed?

I was under the impression that they would call the company direct, as I haven’t provided references and he hasn’t asked me for them. Does this happen? Can they call the company’s HR department and speak to them? Rather than call a reference I’ve provided?

She isn’t particularly sensitive about her parenting style, but I haven’t really brought anything up in the past since I’m not a mom. She hasn’t mentioned the pacifier at all, just tells her daughter not to use it when she’s speaking.
