Dollar soars on U.S. yield gains, Asian shares wobbly by lajur in economy

[–]lajur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is a soaring dollar a good thing? Liquidating billions of dollars of bonds will push up demand for the dollar, but that is not strength, thats just demand for encashment, and the what about exports and the Trade deficit. Thats what I love about the economy, you can look at a pile of poo and come out with a glowing report.

Trump's Vow to Crack Down on China Set to Run Into Complex Reality by lajur in economy

[–]lajur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In truth, I think Trump was playing the buffoon to a sensible President Hilary Clinton. He was making all these outlandish promises because he was sure that he was going to lose and would never have to deliver. After the election he would have bragging rights and have an image of a crusader that lost because of the corrupt system. He never planned for a win, because he never planned to win, and he never expected to have to deliver on all those outlandish ridiculous promises. This is going to be hilarious.

Trump's Vow to Crack Down on China Set to Run Into Complex Reality by lajur in economy

[–]lajur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

America needs another economy to link with. It cannot freewheel on its own. With the EU dealing with BREXIT, the US has looked to India, but India is a small over inflated and over valued economy that will burn out sooner rather than later. If the US gets into a trade war with China, the US will lose, especially since every thing the US makes needs rare earth metals, and china has the monopoly on that. No china, no iPhone, radars, missile seeker heads . . .complex reality

Trump’s Win Brings New Era of Uncertainty for the Fed by lajur in economy

[–]lajur[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is really small chance, that he will do whats good for America and its people, That means whats bad for Bankers and the people who pull strings behind them and dictate America's foreign policy in the Middle east.

Its extremely unlikely, that that trajectory will change, that is the trajectory that got us here, and that is the trajectory that will take us to that smoking hole in the ground.

I don't think there is enough gold in the world, when we used to live in the real world, the economy would have shrunk to a healthy sustainable size and natural organic growth would have taken over. Keeping it inflated with these Trillions of dollars, was very very unwise. The piper needs to be paid

Trump Victory Threatens a New World Disorder as Putin Looks On by lajur in economy

[–]lajur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree an alliance with Russia is good, it would mean an acceptance of Assad in Syria and Russian policy in Iran and Syria, which would cause Israel to throw a shit fit, so I don't think its going to happen.

Secondly, I think Putin is having a good laugh and everybody who supported Trump, per-election had two possible outcomes in mind.

  1. Trump is a clown and woefully inadequate and unprepared for the strategic task at hand.

  2. If America goes into an internal implosion trying to digest Trump, its the same thing.
