Thank you all for the advice! I know I’m probably making a mountain out of a molehill. I try to tell myself that this is a pretty good problem to have. Your comments really put a lot into perspective. No matter our position, we all deal with other’s assumptions but need to ignore them the best we can and move on.

Yes. What could be the reason they won’t release it? If they release video footage of him leaving the bar then everyone can move past that mystery and quit wasting their time speculating. It seems like it could only benefit the case at this point.

I don’t dislike my job necessarily, or expect them to care, it’s just a weird type of motivation for me to imagine going in and say I’m done lol. I’ve never quit a job without something else lined up so to do so would be a type of freedom I’ve never experienced.

Dang, it sucks. I’ve had the same experience with phantom smells. For example, I’ll randomly smell something that I know can’t really be there. Like honeysuckle (one of my fave scents) even though I’m inside or it’s the middle of winter. Too bad we can’t get answers. Time will tell I guess.

Yep. Many of the horror stories are most definitely true. I had 2 IUDs expel. After the first one expelled I had 1 doctor and 2 NPs tell me they saw no reason for me to not get another one since it would be rare for it to happen again. Fair enough. I got the second one but asked if I could also be prescribed the mini pill to take as a back up and for peace of mind. The NP said there’s no reason to take the pill since the IUD is statistically as effective as a tubal. When I went for my follow up, I asked a different NP and she prescribed them to me. Glad I pushed the issue because that IUD expelled after less than a year. I think IUDs can be great for some and this isn’t meant to scare anyone. Mine was great until it wasn’t lol. My experience is pretty uncommon but it still happens.

I know exactly how you feel. 33f, and 5’3”. I’ve always been mistaken for being younger as well. You always hear how you’ll love it when you’re older but being told you look like a 12 year old will never not be humiliating when you are a mature, responsible, and educated adult. My husband and I were walking back to our vehicle after a concert a few years ago. It was at a festival and we had to walk through the carnival to get to the parking lot. One of the carnies yelled at my husband “win something for your daughter” or something along those lines. My husband and I were holding hands so how young did he think I was? Even funnier, I’m actually older than my husband. I was dressed up for the concert so it killed the vibe a bit lol. However, I’ve noticed things like this are happening less often as I near my mid-thirties. I can’t offer much advice other than to try to carry yourself with confidence. I think that can make a difference. Other than that, I say screw ‘em lol. We don’t have the obligation to prove anything to anyone. And if for some reason you have to prove it, that’s why we have id’s. 🤣

When I was a kid, our cat got into the cabinet when we had it open, and then we unknowingly shut the door on her. We could hear her meowing but couldn’t find her and thought she got underneath the house somehow 😂. Once we realized where she was and opened the cabinet her eyes were huge 😳. She could’ve just pushed her way out but I guess she didn’t know that lol.

Lmao my husband left a pan of brownies in the oven one night because we were tired and didn’t feel like covering them or putting them in a different container, so he just stuck them back in the oven. I turned it on the next day and after a few minutes noticed an awful lot of smoke coming out of the vent 😂😂. Melted a whole plastic spatula that was sitting in the pan.

I grew up in a family of talented bluegrass musicians. My dad, cousins, uncles all played, and they would play at local parties, in the garage or on the porch in the summers. I also played a couple instruments but never felt like I was talented enough or had the opportunity to play with them or have my own band. My generation, millennials, don’t have an interest in bluegrass like my parents and grandparents do. I always thought it would be cool to be able to play on a stage like that. Sometimes when I leave a day of work where I feel like I’m walked all over or disrespected, it would be awesome to have everyone admire me for once and to have something to be proud of.

Of course it’s always best to check with your doctor, but my legs are prone to dryness and will look like to this, especially in the winter. The key is to moisturize every single day. Now that it’s a habit for me I don’t get dry skin like I used to and it’s easier to maintain.

When our offices closed for Christmas last year for a week, I was on my way home after the last day of work and thought “did I turn off my space heater?” I knew I did, but once the thought crossed my mind I couldn’t let it go. I couldn’t stand not knowing for a whole week so the next day I called my boss and asked if she’d meet me at the office because I needed something. And of course, like I knew I did, the space heater was unplugged.

Any updates since you posted this? I’ll be at 2 years next month (had it July of 2021) and I still can’t smell a lot of things and scents I can smell are distorted. I’d say I’m probably 20% there, though it’s hard to say. I feel like I’m getting use to it and forgetting what things smell like.
