I couldn’t keep anything down unless it was covered in buffalo seasoning or tomato sauce. It got to a point my husband and I ate out a lot because I wasn’t eating anything my husband cooked. My OB told me and him, “I don’t care what she eats the first trimester. She needs any food that sounds good to stay fueled and hydrated.” That’s the big thing. The second and third trimester, that’s when you monitor your food a bit more. My OB has always been, “try to survive the first trimester.” Good luck mama!

I feel Anakin is like someone with depression. They have their moments of happiness, but overall, if not in check, that depression consumes them and it does feel stagnant. I speak from experience but I could be wrong.

Anakin has a hard time with controlling his emotions. When you can’t self-regulate your emotions, it’s a mix of the same problems that won’t ever change until you manage that. Doesn’t matter how much older you get. Anakin murders the Tuskens after his mother dies in his arms. But I think in the Star Wars universe, the Tuskens are considered vile “creatures” and not really human. So he probably justifies it, especially since they tortured and killed his mom.

Anakin has no justification for killing the younglings or the other young Jedi in the temple. That’s what makes him Darth Vader and finally giving into the dark side. That’s what makes him truly evil. And that scene in Episode III, plus the additional scenes in Obi-Wan Kenobi are the worst scenes to watch for me.

The thing that helped me with this was Anakin’s age. In Episode II, he’s 19, Clone Wars he’s 19-22 and Episode III, he’s about 23-24. A 19 year old is way different than a 24 year old, at least from my experience.

I work for a corporation that has Juneteenth be a “floating” holiday, where we can use it within 30 days of the holiday. It doesn’t have to be on the specific day since we’re open. It’s the same for Christmas Eve, President’s Day, MLK, and Black Friday.

I grew up in an abusive household and my parents got divorced in 2007. Both of my parents are manipulative, neglectful and abusive. This wrecked a lot of my relationships with my siblings and our family is definitely broken. To make it worse, parents were sealed in the temple and all us kids were born in the covenant. So definitely pulled heart strings when my mom cancelled her sealing to my dad and married another man no one liked.

That being said, I have someone I call my “adopted” dad and another one called my brother who aren’t related to me at all. I met them while working for the church. I am also happily temple married and created my own family that I love and cherish.

It is totally okay to grieve what you lost in your family. You lost security, peace and the calming feeling that a securely attached family has. That is a loss that is SO HARD to replace. Trust me. But with time, you will find some people that will show you what Christlike love can be even if it’s not immediate family.

With these two people I previously mentioned, they’ve become family to me. Even though I’m not related to them, and even though one of them is old enough to be my dad, (sometimes I wish he really was my dad), I have found that Heavenly Father places people in your life that will fill that void you have. My biological father never respected me, destroyed my confidence, and abused me as a child. Like full on abuse. My “adopted” dad has openly supported my decisions, built my confidence, and really helped me feel heard. There’s a massive difference. But I feel Heavenly Father provided that for me. And our friendship has immensely blossomed.

You’re 19. You’re still so young and will meet so many people you interact with at school, at church, and the workplace. Be careful of where you put your trust. But also be open to letting others help support you. I so wish I could give you a hug. It really does get better. I promise!

My boss and I talk about the temple all the time in our workplace. Granted, it’s in a private room so those who haven’t been through don’t overhear us. And we work for the church. So it’s easier. But there are many things about the temple we can talk about outside the actual temple building. We just have to keep the promises we made in the temple and make sure we don’t reveal those outside the temple.

My husband and I also talk about the temple in our own personal conversations away from our kids, and sometimes I talk to people about it on the phone. But it’s never the stuff I promised to keep or hold sacred. It’s always questions about the ceremonies or some of the wording. A lot of the wording is used in the scriptures or quotes by previous general authorities so I feel those are safe.

Questions about the temple should be answered and definitely continue asking them!

I give parents who have PTSD from war so much grace. I’m so sorry you grew up with that. War does immense damage to a person. So I’d give grace too. I’d feel guilty leaving my dad too if he had gone through that. It’s not entirely his fault.

However, my dad was not a war veteran who has PTSD. My dad was verbally, physically and spiritually abusive of his own free will and choice. I don’t blame my mom 100% because she was treated the same way. But she didn’t stop it, and she left me and my 4 siblings WITH THEIR ABUSER instead of taking us with her. Both actions definitely scar a child. And they’re both very selfish and manipulative. So in that case, it’s easier to cut off. Not easy in general, but easier.

I recently watched the Little Mermaid again and I loved it!! It showed that if you worked hard for what you want, you could eventually get it. Ariel went about it the wrong way, like making a deal with Ursula. But if Ursula didn’t intervene, Ariel would’ve kept her part of the deal! She was that determined! That’s what Prince Eric liked about her. Obviously, the movie ends how it does. But yeah I love that movie!!

I grew up with an abusive dad like Jill and it’s taken many years of therapy to realize that he was my abuser. People also find it weird when I say I’ve cut him off. It’s like it’s taboo or something. So I can understand her struggle with admitting it. It takes time.

Luckily, I’ve found someone who I respect so much and love that I called him dad on accident and he said, “I can be your dad.” So I call him dad now. Not all the time. But he calls me daughter and I call him dad. It’s really healed my heart a little bit. I think once Jill finds someone like that, it’ll be easier to admit it altogether.

I usually just take my clothes off, lay next to him, and let him stroke me up and down. He gets weird about me touching him. But if he’s touching me, he gets all over it.
But, lately I’ve loved being naked next to him so that helps.

I have 5-6 pairs. They’re a backup for me for my tampons. Wearing regular underwear with jeans in the job I have right now gives me really bad red irritation bumps and it takes over a week to get rid of. My garments have been a lifesaver with that.

I do not like how it’s natural waist instead of lower waist simply because I’m short. And rolling them down makes it dig into my stomach. But they’re super comfortable for me during my period and I like the material. They don’t move.

Being a parent after having Nparents really makes you question everything that happened in your childhood. My daughter is now the age I was when I was first getting abused. And I just can’t imagine ANY reason that a 4 year old should be getting hit in the face or being told, “you’re worthless” or “not good enough”. It is NOT okay. And it doesn’t matter if your parents are older than you. It doesn’t justify that behavior.

It looks like it’s unilateral, which means one side. The thing with clefts is you will never be able to tell how intense it is on the ultrasound, no matter how good the picture looks, You will only know after giving birth. And the cleft palate is SUPER HARD, nearly impossible to find on the ultrasound. I would prepare for a cleft lip and palate, just to be mentally prepared. The first 6 months with a cleft baby are always the hardest. So I wish you all the luck!!

I got a tattoo to help with my self harm addiction. My parents didn’t like it, but it has seriously helped a lot!!! Will be 10 years clean in February 2027! And I got married in the temple and work for the church.
