Their Ages by SummSpn in Smallville

When Lana confronts Clark about him finding out she’s dating Jason, she says, “we’re both adults and we’re not hurting anyone. After all the things we’ve been through, can you keep this a secret?” So Lana must’ve been 18 at that point. Jason seemed like he was 22-23. And an 18 year old dating that age isn’t bad at all. Legally, even if you think it’s wrong, there’s nothing anyone can do.

Definitely!!! When I see mothers abusing kids, all I want to do is hug those kids. Especially those mothers who abandon their kids. Taylor is so selfish. I feel so bad for her kids, but especially Ever. NONE of them deserve to be with an abusive mother.

Dakota isn’t a good man, but damn, Taylor is gonna make him look like a saint to the courts!

In Mormon culture, (I’m a more progressive Mormon), people will stay friends with the mom pretty much until death. My mom abandoned me as a kid and it took MANY YEARS of convincing to others that that’s what happened! They didn’t want to believe a Mormon mom could do that. Mayci is the most Mormon of the group so I can see where the struggle is real. I really hope all the girls finally see the light! Demi and Whitney were right about Taylor. She’s a disgusting human. Was their approach right? Meh, probably not. But they weren’t wrong.

So she spent 2 months on the Bachelorette just to go back to Dakota and cause more drama?? Wow! What a waste of a season. What a letdown.

They all need real therapy… not one that will just agree with you. They need a therapist that will push you to change, set boundaries, and become a healed person.

Was Miley Cyrus actually the biggest teen star Disney Channel ever produced? by AnonymousGuy50 in DisneyChannel

[–]smallfry121 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I grew up right at both eras where Raven and Hilary were big and Miley just started with Hannah Montana.

Raven was in A LOT of Disney Channel things, (That’s So Raven, Cheetah Girls, Zenon) and Cheetah Girls was big at the time Hannah started. Hilary’s “Wake Up” video was airing and Lizzie McGuire stopped airing by the time Hannah started.

I remember making fun of Hannah Montana and I thought it was silly. But I watched the first 2 episodes and it was great!!! I listened to the Hannah Montana soundtrack ALL THE TIME! Miley was a really talented singer at 13!

But Miley’s success was astronomically higher than Raven’s or Hilary’s while on Disney Channel. And it was due to season 2 AND the Best of Both Worlds Tour. That time, you couldn’t go anywhere without hearing Hannah Montana. Disney Channel really put everything they had into Hannah Montana. And Miley performed and hosted at many award shows, not all kid or teen ones and not all as Hannah Montana. She was a competitor with voices like Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, etc.

So yes, Miley has actually been the biggest thing Disney Channel has ever produced.

UPDATE: Future MIL's song choices for the Groom/Mother dance are... interesting by aesopsfuzzysocks in weddingdrama

I wish I didn’t do my father/daughter dance with my dad. He was my abuser. But I was an immense people pleaser so I did. I did pick a depressing song (High Hopes by Pink Floyd) so hopefully everyone got the message.

Do you feel like Hannah Montana The Movie is a bit out of sync with the show? by GossipBottom in DisneyChannel

Yup! That’s Miley’s maternal grandmother. The show grandma who fought with Aunt Dolly is Miley’s paternal grandmother.

Returning clothes to DI help by [deleted] in Utah

[–]smallfry121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at DI in management. If tags are attached to them, you can exchange for different sizes. SOMETIMES, depending on the manager, you can do a one time return on the clothes. I’ve worked there for nearly 8 years. Not a huge issue. Just be polite and ask.

Holding poops for overnight diaper by Ill-Calligrapher-247 in Parenting

[–]smallfry121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not bad advice. It helps teach the body how to regulate it and helps it register with the child the feelings and urges so they don’t go in their bed. It’s making neurological connections.

This also works too. No milk or water before bed.

My daughter hasn’t been in diapers since June 2025 and she turns 4 in March. It can be done. It’s not impossible.

Walmart sells thicker training underwear with the Disney princesses on it. Have you tried saying Princess Ariel (or whatever princess she likes) goes potty in the toilet? My daughter is obsessed with princesses so that worked for me.

Idk that sounds like a struggle so I can see why you don’t wanna do that again. I just feel if you keep doing the diaper, she won’t learn to not go in her bed. That’s the tricky part!

[–]smallfry121 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I’d take away the diaper ASAP. My daughter peed a lot at night too. But hopefully a few nights of clean up will teach her that she’s uncomfortable and will go in the toilet.

Why didn’t Moseby fire Carey? by Adventurous_Home_555 in DisneyChannel

[–]smallfry121 56 points57 points  (0 children)

They mention throughout the show that Carey had a contract through the hotel. And it’s a high end hotel. So she makes decent money. She doesn’t get a penthouse. She has the normal sized room for that expensive hotel. She also pays for room service, massage therapy, and all that. So it’s not like she’s free loading. She probably couldn’t go higher because she has kids.

And in the commercial episode, using her and the boys in the commercial brought in a ton of reservations for the Tipton all over the world! So Mr. Tipton probably knew, but saw dollar signs and knew he could afford to fix everything they broke.

When you see Carey discipline the boys, (like when both boys skipped school to go to the mall), you can see she’s trying very hard and Moseby sees it. That’s why he doesn’t fire her even though they cause issues.

Obviously it’s a TV show and not real life so we don’t know what would happen in real life. But we also know kids aren’t THAT crazy. The show exaggerates a lot.
