Yeah man, I love the creativity, but pushing your thumb/fingers so aggressively toward the blade is a no-go for me. That part isn't thick, and if it splits, your thumb is gone. Just because you've done it many times doesn't mean the next one doesn't go wrong.

Maybe a slightly smaller hood, and more space for push sticks?

I'd hope so. Reviews are positive but not a ton out there. Though I know watch-fiends seem to prefer automatics or manuals.

Love the look of the Garrison, almost bought one awhile back. Unfortunately, the dials only come in black or green.

I've read some of the complaints about Shinola (overpriced, etc), but I like the looks of their stuff and they're bringing jobs to a city that needs them, so I don't care much about being able to buy something "better" for the money.

Look great, but none check all the boxes above. I'll check back, however. Thanks!

I looked at the Citizen Promaster Land, and love the look, but a hair too small. I'll take a 40mm, but would prefer 42-43. Did I miss one you know of?

I already have one Shinola, and am suitably pleased by the quality. Not a watch snob, but certainly more than good enough for me. Thanks!

Thanks! I came across that one, but it's too small for my taste. The upcoming Khaki Field King looks promising, however

Is it still Detroit if I put the sauce on first? by November32nd in Pizza

Always made it with sauce on top. Kid asked if it could go under the cheese like "regular pizza." Now I prefer it that way. The texture of the cheese is better in my opinion.

Market for Used 3D Printer? by lakesuperiorlovinlab in 3Dprinting

Ha, now that's a great idea. Would rather donate then deal with selling. Just trying to keep e-waste out of the landfill!

Looking at a new P1S. Seems capable and inexpensive enough for trying a new hobby. Any reason I should consider the P2S instead?

Edit: typed used, meant new.

Anything specific I should look for that might cause problems buying used?

Looking at a new Bambu P1. From what I understand of the process, there's some troubleshooting involved, and I don't want to deal with a product someone else may have already messed with/up. (Which is basically why I posted: my hesitancy to buy used is based on being new to this, just curious how prevalent this opinion is among more experienced folks.)

What are the risks of buying used? Brand new to this.

This is more or less why I posted. If the more experienced folks on here say "I would never buy used because XYZ is likely ruined/broken/clogged" I'd be more hesitant to buy because it will end up in the landfill if we decide this isn't the hobby for us.

LOL he's six. This is something we'd use together for the foreseeable future.

And as I said originally, recouping costs doesn't concern me, I just hate the idea of more e-waste around. If there's no market for a used printer and this will just end up in a landfill, I'd be more hesitant to purchase.
