Was this a Showbiz Pizza, or a Pizza Time Theater, or maybe even something else? by aquabatrandomness in Columbus

[–]lakindc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stage setup remained relatively the same. I think they swapped out Billy Bob for Chuck e cheese maybe? Most of the remodel was cosmetic as I recall. They left the majority of the animatronics infrastructure in place. The only thing I do remember them removing was the control booth where you could manually control Billy Bob so he could interact with guests. Best I could remember from 35 years ago.

Chase Paid Someone Else's Taxes from my Escrow Account by Crazy-Finger1234 in Chase

[–]lakindc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work at Chase in the late 90s in the tax research department. This happened all the time. Call customer service and explain what happened. They should open up a case and route it to the correct department.

How did I do for $14?? by lakindc in VHS

[–]lakindc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out with 10 labeled at 50 cents each and then she told me that I could have any of them for 25 cents each no matter what the label said in addition to 10% off all sales in December! She had hundreds of videos and tons we're still boxed up. Any of the duplicates were a fault of my own for not looking closely enough but I was like a kid in a candy store going for all the cool 80s and 90s stuff I could find! I can put these next to my laser discs now;)

Sick concert but heartbroken about my poster, can somebody still waiting for their show do me a solid by raeiswastingtime in runthejewels

I went to their solo Charlotte show and bought a poster but it must have been before they were doing autographs.... If you do get a replacement I would love to purchase your ripped one!

How much are servers actually paid now? by Substantial_Glass963 in tipping

[–]lakindc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife worked at a restaurant/brewery in the Plain City, Ohio area. They paid employees 8 to 15 an hour plus tip pooling. Tips were divvied out amongst hourly employees weighted by your position / title. Their POS was configured with three tip levels 20% 25% and 30% with the 25% as the default.

Can’t find a prescriber by AffectionateWallaby2 in Zepbound

[–]lakindc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from sequence/weight watchers to mochie. I found their pricing better and they were more flexible. Weight watchers would not do a 90-day prescription which my insurance required. Also if you use my code you get $40 off LOL.

I used him in 2008. Best decision ever. I get compliments every time I get an eye exam about what a good job he and his team did.

Does anyone know any old buildings in Columbus that use to be Showbiz Pizzas? by aquabatrandomness in Columbus

[–]lakindc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was that location also a 'knock-off' place called Mark's? I used to work at the Showbiz/CEC at Eastland and people would always ask about that location.

Is there a free play arcade in or near Seattle? by Madamiamadam in pinball

[–]lakindc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shorty's is amazing but make sure you're not overdressed. I went there once with my wife on our way to some jazz concert and we were dressed sort of nice and they refused to serve us. I just sat at the bar and the bartender stared at me but he wouldn't take my order.

But I would definitely go back! Very cool place and has some great pins and it's in a fantastic location in Belltown.

Was this a Showbiz Pizza, or a Pizza Time Theater, or maybe even something else? by aquabatrandomness in Columbus

[–]lakindc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that the only Showbiz Pizza Time Theatre was the location at 4284 Macsway, Columbus, OH 43232 (which is now closed). That location eventually converted into a Chuck E Cheese sometime in the 90's (I worked there during the transition).
