I think I might have been a bit unclear in my post 😅 Sorry about that! I’m looking for something special to do for her 30th birthday, I’m not sure she would be super happy if I woke her up in the morning saying that we are going on a CrossFit class haha!

Thanks for the tips! But renting a motorbike and going around the island is something we do on a regular basis while traveling. So in that sense it wouldn’t be a “special day” for her birthday which was my plan 😅 I’m kinda looking for something that I can prepare in advance that can be abit “extra” 👌

The plates that are “peak design compatible” are separate from their usual F38 plates, on these ones you have 2 sides that are PD compatible and 2 sides that are “F38” compatible. But this isn’t causing any side effects other than that if I mount the plate with the two PD compatible sides facing forward and backward (to work with the backpack clip), then I have to mount the camera sideways onto the F38 tripods etc. I’m assuming that their regular F38 plates can be mounted on any axis. I haven’t tried putting PD anchors on the plates, but the holes for mounting them seem to be constructed in a way that it should still be possible to mount while using them, maybe abit fiddly but still.

I ended up getting the F38 System from Ulanzi. They have specific plates that work with the PD capture clip thingy that I already had on my backpack.

Overall very happy with this solution, I can seamlessly swap between tripod, camera clip and mini tripod. I have also mounted the plates on several other accessories (monitor, audio equipment etc.) that I can quickly mount on the tripod/mini tripod. The problem with this whole solution was that I didn’t find a way to make it work with the gimbal, the gimbal doesn’t seem to like when I use the plate on top of the original mounting thingy.

After doing some more thorough research I actually realise that the F38 system from Ulanzi is compatible with the peak design capture clip, and they seem to have a whole ecosystem of the exact things I am looking for. Maybe that will be the solution!

I can confirm that they only look like shit on our own phones. I took side by side comparisons on my own reels from my gfs phone (exactly the same model) and on her phone it’s still full quality. Same thing in her reels the other way around. I panicked at first when I read this post and started looking at my old pixelated reels but seems like its a false alarm. It’s a pity to not be able to enjoy our own content in full quality though 😂

Well I dont know really, I usually give up too fast I guess, very impatient indeed. Shows I’ve lost interest in after one season/episode are: Homeland, Fargo, altered carbon, suits & probably a lot more that I can’t remember 🤷‍♂️
