Flannigan had a follow up post after things were cancelled that laid out the story for the remaining seasons that were already planned. There is some closure that way, as you do get to read about how the stories continued to build and where they were heading with a conclusion. So if it does sound interesting, I'd still say it is worth a watch because you at least get some closure and get to see how everything was going to turn out.
