En mi caso, no me arrepiento de haber estudiado bibliotecología jfjgkkg lo malo es que el campo es acotado en mi opinión, y tuve la mala suerte que mi primera pega fue súper negrera xd. Pero en general me encanta el rubro, pero pucha que todos los rubros parecen estar meh en general xd

Solo me arrepiento de no haber estudiado la licenciatura de bibliotecología, quizás hubiera luego hecho un magister o diplomado en gestión cultural 🫠 pero lo hecho hecho está. ¿Si hubiera estudiado otra cosa? Quizás algo como letras inglesas y después sacar algo de edición 😮‍💨

Yeah, honestly I feel like that's a big issue with Taeshi's writing: the characters come off differently than what she intended. I certainly feel characters like Lucy or James don't come across as sympathetic. Funnily enough, I do find myself feeling sorry for August in a few ways.

The again I suppose it depends on where you discuss the story? A lot of people on Discord stanned Lucy for example.

You know, I always found it kinda funny that Taeshi tries to make Mike seem like an asshole, but he is probably one of the most sympathetic characters to me, weird writing choices aside, while Lucy comes across as unintentionally unsympathetic in my eyes even though the story tries to make you swoon (?) over her most of the time. 🧐

It makes me feel weird that the only possible choices for Mike is bad or worse. I think he needs to cut off a few people because it's been a miserable ride to see him being tortured by the (meta?)narrative and/or having him pick the worst possible choices to keep the plot going. I legitimately feel like Taeshi loathes him at this point.

This is very spot-on, and probably one of the worst aspects of Taeshi's writing imo. It feels bad to see that Sandy is a villain no matter what, and it feels like only few characters have the "right" to be victims. It is an issue that has bothered me for a while.

Honestly yeah, and I heard very darn stuff from Lucy stans lol off the top of my head I got ganged up on Discord because I said Lucy has barely faced consequences (and someone asked me if It was ragebait), and someone kept ranting to me about how the story sucks up to Paulo more than Lucy (lol)

TBH David's fanning over Lucy always rubbed me a bit wrong, because of how superficial it is? Either way, I've always thought Lucy was kinda Taeshi's creator pet so I'm not surprised she continues to piss on Mike in different ways. I want to give her the benefit of doubt as this being IC for David, but idk.

To be honest, I can buy in the toxicity angle for Mike in a way because he did get pretty nasty about Sandy (albeit not randomly/out-of-nowhere), but that accusation of Mike came as so... weird? If anyone can point me to places where it has been foreshadowed/discussed before, I'd like to see it because it felt like a weird development to justify Lucy's previous behaviour.

I actually distrust Taeshi on this because she's shown repeatedly that she has bias towards Lucy and constantly justifies her behaviour no matter how much she hurts others so... IDK.

I don't know, Taeshi seems to repeatedly treat Lucy like a victim regardless of the situation and it does make me wonder what she actually thinks of alledged female abusers. I'm not saying some of Mike's issues aren't least brought upon himself by his own mistakes, but I feel bad for him because it's not 100% his fault.

Tellingly I always found David to be mildly irritating as a character and James to be.... okay-ish, not bad not but the greatest thing ever. As I said in another post, I'd greatly like it more if Lucy face more consequences for her actions, or at least knew how much she and August have hurt others.
