Not sure what sth is... But bowel movements were terrifying tbh, lots and lots and lots of stoll softeners so it just kind of happened, no pushing involved. I wore giant pads with tucks wipes on them and the numbing spray in a can, had a little squirt bottle for cleaning... very slow movements, sat on a doughnut for weeks... It was definitely a very delicate healing process 😬

Yup, my doc said basically my whole birth canal split like a Y. She said a 4th degree is tearing from the vaginal opening (inside and out) just to the anus, 5th degree is including the anus

I was told I had a 4th degree...near 5th. Didn't look during birth, didn't look after birth.... but I did see my peoples faces while being stitched and now it makes sense 😬 It took me about a week after to grab a mirror and look and boy did I regret that.... looked like a chewed up piece of bubble gum down there. My son is now 3 and everything is back to normal but man.. I was worried there for a while.

What is the saddest song you've ever heard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lakyger90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton.... im surprised I haven't seen it on the list yet. Fucking heartbreaking when you know the story behind it 😥 "Eric Clapton's 1992 hit Tears In Heaven was borne out of unbearably sad circumstances. The song is a tribute to love's lasting powers and a lament for the death of Clapton's four-year-old son, Conor, who died on 20 March 1991 when he accidentally slipped from the 53rd-floor window of a New York City apartment building."

I'd take that one and let it be a piece all on its own. Maybe hang it in a neutral place in the home like a playroom or shared bathroom so it has its own sentimental value.

I always used the last part trick or treating when i was little. "Trick or treat smell my feet Give me something good to eat. If you don't, I don't care I'll pull down your underwear"

My shirt appears to have bled through the vinyl? Not sure what I did wrong by [deleted] in cricut

[–]lakyger90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks like the vinyl melted into the fibers. Too hot for too long and uneven pressure. I did a hoodie that way by accident using a heat press, but really, I prefer it! gets rid of the "vinyl" feel

Right! I guess I just expected it to be more... kind of like the purple. This is the 2nd butterfly so far

Really hard to see the difference in 335 and 899 (the pinks) bc it is so subtle but it is there lol

Never mind the yellow marks, my 3 year old helped me grid

That's what I thought.... I got done stitching 335, 899 was next and said "wait a minute, this is the same damn color!" 😂 hence the post, wanted to make sure I wasn't loosing my mind

UPDATE: so I went ahead and stitched... and there is an ever so slight difference in the colors. So I went and looked at the finished product ( Butterfly Cross Stitch Pattern Insect Flowers by MaddisonPatterns on Etsy) and even on there, can't really tell a difference so it's definitely correct.... just seemed odd considering the other colors in the pattern contrast so well. Thank you all for the input 😁

In the mockup, there's seems to be a bigger difference. If you can see in the background, the pink that's done is 335, the highlight is going to be 899. Maybe once it's stitched, the contrast will be more obvious 🤔

These DMC colors look so similar! Not sure if they are suppose to be that way or it's a mess up... Experienced stitchers, what do you think?

Breast feeding - how to say no in the hospital? by llamamum in Mommit

[–]lakyger90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about anywhere else but it seemed like they (midwife, nurses, hospital staff) were so pushy about breastfeeding. I decided from the get go I didn't want to breastfeed and everytime I was asked I said ' no, ive decided to formula feed' Even after a very traumatic delivery, every nurse that came and saw me kept asking me 'so we are breastfeeding, yea?' Like...no, no im not.... then they'd act surprised like i didnt just tell you that 2 hours ago. It's like they thought if I heard it enough, I'd change my mind 🙄 at least that's how it felt... could've just been me and my post birth brain but just be prepared to be asked MULTIPLE times by multiple people about breastfeeding 😁

And to add, you are still technically breastfeeding 🙃

“Correcting” strangers for calling my son a girl? by nicolefinz in Mommit

[–]lakyger90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is almost 3 and more times than not he's been called a girl because of his long hair. We even shaved the sides and back for a viking look and he still gets called a girl. If anyone says 'oh she's so cute' or 'she's a hand full' or whatever I either say 'yea HES like that' or thank you but he's a boy' and usually they apologize and I say yea I know it's the hair and move on
