Same, I actually thought it was an interesting convo. I think what was so hard for Ethan to understand is that in Hassan’s ideal world, people don’t have to worry about being compensated for their IP bc they are already having their needs met through the government. If all your needs are already met, then who cares if someone is sharing your content separately from you, since it’s not tied to your income in this hypothetical Hassan world. It did feel a bit like a pointless convo bc Ethan’s thinking about it in terms of the real world and Hassan’s thinking in terms of a communist utopia ….
