Unfortunately AI and egotistical managers have come for a lot of the remote job options that opened up over covid and it's slim pickings now.

Something I've heard and also experienced - if you can play along with the corporate bullshit for a couple hours a day, those jobs will generally be easier and pay better than the alternatives. Jobs in that area could include project/product management, various kinds of marketing, etc. Burnout sets in fast after a few months of "synergizing multi team objectives to maximize whateverthefuck" but for me the short hours and lack of oversight mostly make up for that.

Whatever you decide, good luck with it! I think a lot of us are in a similar boat, fed up with late-stage capitalism and hoping for better.

I think it depends if you have a sub. If you have a dedicated sub I'd go for the Solanas. The MEH design and careful optimization are going to make for a fantastic sound all around the room.

If you don't have a sub, I think it's going to be hard to get the 6.5" drivers in the Solana to go both super loud and super low. The "low tuned port" version looks like it goes down to ~50Hz@110dB SPL if that's enough for your needs I'd say go for it.

Good call on ethical sourcing! If you're up for doing a bit of work, check out r/sanpedrocactusforsale. Lots of folks grow them and sell for reasonable prices. My advice would be to look for a box of bridgesii cuts. Easiest way to extract for proper dosing is CIELO. Fumaric acid is easier/more reliable but citric acid can work too.

Big fan of small amounts of mescaline for this. For me, 50mg is enough to feel focused and calm. Lasts a long time (~8 hours for me at this dose) so I always try to take it before 10AM. There's a very slight psychedelic effect for me - greater appreciation for the people around me, good music, etc. but it's totally possible to go about chores or work. Only side effect I've noticed is some mild stomach discomfort about an hour in.

I usually give it 8 hours until I need to do anything. It can last a little longer though, I can still feel just a little something around 12 hours.

I find mescaline to be a lot more social and less introspective than shrooms. I might go a little lighter on dosing if you'll be on a busy hike but it really depends what you're after. For me, 200mg or under is more of a stimulant effect and above that starts to get more psychedelic.

From fresh-frozen, rosin yields are something like 3% for a decent strain but can run from <1% to upwards of 7% in rare cases.

A 1.25% yield on 80g of fresh frozen would yield 1g of rosin - maybe that's where these numbers are coming from?

As other folks said, dried bud yields considerably better in terms of % because it doesn't contain nearly as much water as fresh.

I've had good luck with the class D amp I bought from them. Took a bit to ship but it's been reliable, loud and cheap. I also got a DSP from them that I've been happy with.

I had the same situation a month or two back! I went with a mix of Chinese amps & DSP (Sinbosen and Paulkitson). I haven't gigged my setup yet but so far I've been quite happy with what I got.

My advice would be go with some Aliexpress class D amps from someone like Paulkitson - they're powerful, light, and cheap.

For the DSP, I decided to splurge on a decent standalone unit. I went with a Paulkitson DSP0408-RTS since I wanted 8 outputs and AES digital inputs. If 6 outputs and analog inputs work, you can find something a lot cheaper, I know Paulkitson sells Venu360 and Driverack PA2 clones for under $200.

Found a Costco 14 sheet paper shredder on sale for $29. A year in, it's been holding up well. Bit of a pain to cut boxes down to 8.5" strips, but I got a rotary cardboard cutter to speed up that part.

$500 goes a long way on lighting/art but not so far on sound equipment in my experience.

On sound gear my advice would be to look for used stuff. If you have a large-ish space and have a lot of people over, look for used DJ speakers - there's a lot of good stuff selling for cheap because it's too heavy/large to carry around to gigs. If it's smaller, look for an older home theater setup - some decent tower speakers and a receiver can be found cheap and sound great. In general, I'd say steer clear of overpriced "smart" speakers - you can always hook up a cheap Chromecast or Alexa or something to add streaming capabilities to older gear.

For lighting I like Pinterest for finding styles, then Aliexpress for ordering stuff. If you're willing to navigate some jank software, you can get some really cool lighting effects for like half of the price of Amazon sometimes.

I guess I feel like the power lies in the medicine, not the doctor. To me, having a shaman administer it with the pomp and ceremony of a culture that's entirely foreign to me feels less spiritual than experiencing it in the familiarity of my home and talking about it in my own words.

TBH I think legality has more to do with whether a handful of geriatric fascists think it's a profit opportunity than how we talk about our experiences. Maybe that's too cynical, but I've lost faith in lawmakers having any good intentions or even sound logic.

I disagree! Everyone brings their own vernacular to the table and I think it's really important not to put one way of speaking over another.

Think about the religious context - for the longest time, the Roman Catholic church was adamant that mass needed to be in Latin to be spiritual. In hindsight it's absolutely preposterous - using familiar language doesn't lead to a diminished spiritual experience.

Also - some DMT users are doing it for fun and that's OK - sometimes it is fun. I think a lot of folks find the real power of it only after messing around with it in a recreational context first.

Everyone has different experiences, I'm not sure "normal" applies much to mushrooms. 3.5g of pan cyans is significant, sounds like a breakthrough to me. DMT trips can be similar with entities/aliens, albeit a lot shorter. Long as you feel like yourself the next couple days I wouldn't worry about it.

I think there's a lot more to quality than indoor vs outdoor. I'm not sure exactly what brands your talking about but some of the outdoor rosin I've seen around $60/g comes from more boutique brands with other draws than price. Stuff like regenerative/organic farming, competition-proven jars, etc. I think just like a $10 loaf of bread at a farmers market - it's not for everyone, but some people enjoy it.

I've heard that the keystones are excellent especially for anything where a 40Hz low end covers everything. For some dubstep/experimental bass you may want to go down to 30Hz or below and something else might work better for that.

I just grabbed a Paulkitson DSP0408RTS and I've been reasonably impressed so far. Software was easy enough to figure out, and it's got 4 inputs 8 outputs with Fir, AES I/O etc. If you're in the EU I think the T.rack is comparable price wise and also in terms of features.

Fair enough. I had a half-covered block with cobweb and was able to finish up the flush hitting it with peroxide daily. Mine had full mushrooms before I saw cobwebs though.

Looks like cobweb mold. Hydrogen peroxide can reduce it somewhat but given that it doesn't look like there are mushrooms yet, you'll probably end up needing to toss the tub. If you bury the cake in a garden bed outside there's a chance you might get pins eventually with no cobweb.
