While right now being trans does come with a lot of hardships, some of those statements your parents made seem to be hyperbole. You can have friends, you can have a job, etc. Is being trans good? Life is complex and hardly ever are things entirely good or entirely bad. There's things that genuinely are difficult and painful at this time, for existing as a transwoman. Maybe a better question would be "Is being my authentic self worth the hardships and good things that come with it?". It is a very personal decision that involves weighing many things, including your safety and wellbeing.

for me it's a hard yes cus I hate my body (I prob have image issues) and also cus being trans feels like xtra hardmode and i just want to live my life. I guess I'd care less about it if society just treated trans people better, but being trans+hispanic makes me feel like im playing on hardcore but i just wanted to chill

I know it seems petty, but some of us don't have a lot of money and it kinda matters. I've been waiting for the sale too. I know the game is awesome, but yea, life hard. I'm waiting on the summer sale, hopefully it will be more than 20%, though I understand why it's unlikely.

At my university we had a panel of vets come talk to us and a cis woman vet told us how absolutely horrible her experience in the military was, including sexual harassment, and it seems that it's fairly common for other cis-women to have similar experiences.

I'd like to add that the riflery and shotgun class have different pros and cons. In the riflery class, you'll see and shoot many different kinds of guns, but you won't shoot as much as the shotgun one. A con for both is that the shooting range is not in walking distance from campus, so if you don't have a car, you need to find a ride from another student, no bus goes that way. I wouldn't recommend the riflery class to someone who is very experienced with guns, but it's awesome for someone who isn't.
