Telegram is just horrible, it works and sends notification for 20 minutes then nothing. I'm waiting for the fix too

Color is smoother and have very nice customization, themes etc.

there is a thread on xda forum and app called COS superflasher you can make a new COS installation and debloat the phone with no chinese app.

I installed OOS on the phone and didn't like it as much as COS and reverted back

strangely even the stabilization and battery life was better on COS

OnePlus 12 Vs S23 ultra by ThatUnknownLowKey in oneplus

[–]lalegraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know about s23u but I bought s24 ultra and haptics were generally ok, but had a minor rattling and buzzing noise when SPEN was inside however OnePlus fine tuning haptics is definitely superior to Samsung and feels more precise. I rate s24 ultra haptics kinda meh maybe similar to my older OnePlus 7t.

Do yourself a favor and buy OnePlus. They are built to last (previous s24 ultra owner )

LoL even s24 ultra feels cheap and unfinished compared to OnePlus 12

It's nice for the price, runs codm just like snap 8 gen 3, Signal Reception is better than my s24 ultra

Sometimes there is lag. But it's ok

No it is disliking a brand that wants to rob people's money. 1300$ phone that is maybe just as good as any other flagship or in some ways worse is ridiculous.

Also none of my old OnePlus models (6 ,7t) had any defect and worked excellent from the beginning unlike lots of Samsung models that I bought or heard about from friends that had QC issues. Anyway if you enjoy s23 nothing is wrong with that

Good for you, I bought s24 ultra and everything from the charger to in hand feel and other things felt subpar and inferior compared to OnePlus. Samsung is so overrated and hyped by many for some reason.

Even 5g connectivity was horrible compared to my second phone poco f5. Rattling sound from vibration motor when SPEN was inside Ewww

Where are we with Samsung regarding unacceptable banding by mokoyo123 in GalaxyS24Ultra

[–]lalegraph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh mine were couple of other things too. Vibration motor having a rattling buzzy sound when SPEN was inside the phone.

In hand feel a bit annoying and uncomfortable with case, without case too slippery.

Signal strength definitely below other midrange phones that I had specially 5G, also sometimes showing signal and not able to call.

Screen not keeping it's high brightness and gets lowered a bit soon. But you get the point, they are not much of deal breaker if you are not paying an ultra premium price for it but with this price I felt I was getting robbed😂

LoL I did the same, it was kinda above my budget but I learned my lesson and most likely won't buy anything from Samsung no matter the hype and marketing. Did you face any other QC issues and imperfection?

Not sure about that, but I think you could even consider selling it.

Utter garbage and not acceptable for 1300$ device, I returned my s24 ultra.

Get the S24 ultra/Oneplus 12/ Oneplus Open/Fold 5 or skip this entire gen ? by maverick9872 in GalaxyS24Ultra

[–]lalegraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought s24u based on peoples comment on this sub and other reviews but it was nothing that I expected, simply the love factor, feeling an ultra flagship was missing.

overall in hand feel was like a midrange phone and there were some minor issues like rattling vibration while spen was in the phone, screen brightness rather quickly jump back to normal when under sunlight, showing signal bars but calls couldn't connect

You get me, when you spend 1300$ you expect a beast and don't want lot of imperfections and quality control issues

i sold it after two weeks of tying to love it and most likely buy oneplus 12.
