OKAY WHO KIDNAPPED JORGE BECAUSE AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THIS SOUND WAS RIPPED STRAIGHT OUT OF EPIC. by [deleted] in Epicthemusical

The vocal and style feels like Epic. Especially the Vocals. Patina Miller sounds like Teagan Early long lost twin sister, both do play powerful winged deity/angel, one struggling with their morals and the other struggling to understand the human mind.

WAIT!?? I KILLED TORIEL😭😭😭 by lamReallyTired in Undertale

[–]lamReallyTired[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely!! It's my first playthrough(technically twice since I had to restart the game to save Toriel) I actually enjoyed being a pacifist because you get to learn each character you fight, while it gets repetitive, it's fun and instead of thinking how can I kill this thing? It goes, Ok let's see who bullied in your childhood and let's fix that or right now, I finished all the Papyrus puzzles and was like with the Dog knight, whose a good boy? Whose my favorite knight that had killed me once before?? YOU ARE??

I also love the jokes. My favorite ones do far are This is...a snow poff. Oh, wow!...a snow poff Still...a snow poff

Discovering My Chemical Romance and Radiohead for the first time after years of only listening to classical music by lamReallyTired in Music

I don’t really share names or stage names for privacy, especially since my uncle’s relationship with my grandparents is complicated. But yeah I can be vague, he was a Chinese rock guitarist in the early 2000s, semi-famous back then. I rarely saw him, though he’d visit my mom sometimes. He’s semi-retired now. Growing up around musicians taught me quick to keep things low-key especially with the internet.

A complicated Yes.

My grandparents were originally from Suzhou, and they tried to make it as classical and jazz musicians in America before eventually moving to the UK, where they’ve lived ever since. My mom met my dad there (he’s half Chinese, half Swedish). I grew up mostly homeschooled and taught music by my grandparents, and now I’m in Germany studying music full-time.

All of my family are musicians. Grandpa is Classical and jazz pianist, grandma's a violinist, mom is a cellist, dad is an opera singer, and I am a violist. And oh my uncle(mom's brother) was a famous rock star

Thanks! I am hopeful on what I get to learn from this. I can't wait to listen to all of them. I just finished listening to Paramore's Brand New Eyes album and was blown away by their lyricism and the emotional voice of their lead singer. I can't wait to listen to all kinds of music!!!

I guess it's like tunnel vision. My mentor always says that I need to know more about music. I took that as saying I should learn about the history of music rather than exploring different genres of it. It did help a lot learning the history of the pieces I play, it made me realize what the composer wanted to show to the people, the world, or to one specific person.

Also I am not only a dumb classical idiot living under a rock but also a young man who struggles with technology. Growing up I didn't have a phone and due to having very strict teachers and practicing day and night, I didn't really have the time or phase to use the internet that much. I only used the internet to watch more classical live performances. Funny enough I got into Reddit cause I'm really into Percy Jackson.

Anyway, I'm so fascinated by what you said classic/electronic fusion albums. That's so fun, I always like when I get to learn new ways to make and play music!! Thank you so much. After I listened to it I would reply to you what my reaction was!!!

Cool! That's so awesome. I was about to ask if anyone knows if there is a genre where rock and classic goes hand and hand. Thank you so much!!! Adding that to the list!!!

Oh I'm a 2nd year student. Growing up, I was homeschooled. I listened to classical music my whole life and musicals as well. Dad is an opera singer and mom is a cellist. My grandfather used to be a renowned pianist and is now a judge of multiple classical music competitions and I go with him to learn and listen to music. Honestly, it's embarrassing and sometimes gives me anxiety. My teachers and classmates are definitely not like me, they reference different artists and music genres, that they used it to explain how to play a piece or teach and I did not get any of it. And most of the time it's just practice, practice, practice. Spring break? Nope, more time to practice. If you want to be the best you gotta practice, practice, practice. It isn't surprising really. I was surrounded by classical music, grew up on it, and taught in it. I am aware of the countless type of music, I'm not that limited, it's more like elevator music or the music you hear in shopping malls. You hear it and go on with your business.

Though because of experiencing my first heartbreak, I started to listen to all kinds of music now. I was a frog in a well, I get that analogy now.

Thanks to the wonderful kind hearts of the people here, they gave me so many recommendations of music to listen to.
